Agreed smile.gif. Cashback for me since Jan 2016 is 6800. Haven't included the BT interest savings and free gifts (2 luggage bags, 1 blender, 1 Coffee maker). I only started this in late 2014 and used to lurk in LYN to learn. Now it's more of a hobby than a task.

Back to the BT topic. I am going to try Maybank2u BT application this week for just 1200 to experiment how long it takes and whether I get auto approved or rejected. Curious to see if they will ask me for statements, or if it's really simple. Based on previous posts, looks like people have different experiences.

Interesting.
Mind sharing your effective cash back % based on the 6800?

I did it twice. I emailed BT app form plus screenshot of my MBB approval SMS (for MBB BT) and unbilled transaction BT amounts (for AEON).

First time took 3 working days for funds to be paid to my PBB SA. Second time took 5 working days.

If you're concerned, call CS after 2-3 working days to ask about status. They will inform you if any problems with your request. For me, CS very happy to help out.

Hi there, for the Maybank 0% 12 months BT, does anyone encounter application approved in principle but did not receive any subsequent sms/email stating its approval? Does this mean it is not approved?
What about transferring of funds? I receive an email stating the fund will be transferred on 22/9 but when I check my other cc balance, it's wasn't transferred in yet. Tried to approach the CS but somehow nobody pick up the line for more than 10 minutes wait..
Lastly, any idea how is the transfer limit which appeared on m2u being worked out? My M2cards limit is 5k & I BT 2.35k, leftover transfer limit is approximately 2.2k for BT. But I have not use my amex (without Maybank logo) for BT & when I tried, the transfer limit is also 2.2k, instead of 5k. I thought m2c is having separate limit with amex w/o Maybank logo?
Please enlighten, many thanks

Absolutely no idea because it includes those one off sign up cash back, promo campaigns (which I always aim and plan carefully to hit) as well as standard cash back features.

Personally, I find it most helpful to regularly read LYN threads and keep close look out for promo cashback or 0% BT promos, because those are the real money savers. Can learn tips and tricks from all the experienced veterans. For example, the MBB 0% BT promo was announced here very very early, which enabled many of us to quickly sign up. It's amazing smile.gif

Based on my experience:

- MBB requires only a call up to certain threshold (which I'm guessing but cannot confirm may be 10k). Above threshold have to email. 5-8 working days.

- PBB requires any transfer to CASA to be supported by email proof. 3-5 working days.

- HLB requires only a call (so far I only tried 5k so I don't know if there is a threshold like MBB). 3-5 working days.

For all 3 banks, transfer to supp cards only require a call, and slightly faster than transfer to CASA.

Thanks for update on MBB no fee. Mine will only come on 8...so it's quite a whole away.

I pay school fees (got 3% discount) and insurance upfront annually to save costs.

Extra cash from BTs will always go into FD (monthly). I keep a spreadsheet to make sure I can cover the monthly repayments.

After all these payments, of course I'm extremely poor! shakehead.gif

Hi lowyatER....
Sharing my experience with you guys. Applied balance transfer through Ambank with 0% interest rate (no hiding fee) about 30k for 12 months installment but only allowed to transfer to other banks credit card account. Fortunately, I manage to transfer out the 30k from credit card account to my current account. It seems I can just apply earn some $$ by placing the fund into FD. 😄

Totally ZERO cost? Any link? U transfered to which bank? Need statement?
*
QUOTE(snowswc @ Sep 28 2016, 06:08 PM)
Yes. Surprisingly totally no cost at all! I think this is the promotion I guess.i transfer to hongleong and UOB. No need to provide bank statement, just the credit card number will do. I requested it over the phone. Thereafter, I called hongleong and UOB to make a transfer, both help to transfer to my other banks currency account with RM 0.11 IBG charge.

The BT amt was credited into my PBB CC account today, one day after application thru M2U.

I called the PBB CS to transfer the excess funds to my Savings Acc but CS ask for proof of payment but PBB doesn't accept the BT application form only payment receipt.
