One of the TnC for Aeon balance transfer:-

For each Cardholder account, this Balance Transfer programme is available to Cardholders once every 6 months effective from the posting date of the Balance Transfer amount. Further Balance Transfer application will not be considered until expiry of 6 months after the last approved Balance Transfer amount is posted to Cardholder account.

Has anyone paid off their BT earlier (less than 6 mths) and apply for another BT before the expiry of 6 months and still get the BT approved?
*
I got another of my BT approved during my 4th repayment of the earlier BT.
You may try your luck 😊

How much is the effective interest rate translated from the 1% upfront fee?
*
0% BT with 1% upfront fee. Eg: If BT 10k, upfront fee = rm 100, other than that no interest charged unless you late payment

Usually for BT by AEON, would they make an effort to expedite the payment process so that it is made by our payment due date, despite our application for BT is a bit late but not too late. blush.gif
For g. Statement Date 8th of the month, due 28th of the month, applied BT on 20th of the month. If AEON takes 14 working days to process, then will fall out of the payment due date.

Hi there, for the Maybank 0% 12 months BT, does anyone encounter application approved in principle but did not receive any subsequent sms/email stating its approval? Does this mean it is not approved?
What about transferring of funds? I receive an email stating the fund will be transferred on 22/9 but when I check my other cc balance, it's wasn't transferred in yet. Tried to approach the CS but somehow nobody pick up the line for more than 10 minutes wait..
Lastly, any idea how is the transfer limit which appeared on m2u being worked out? My M2cards limit is 5k & I BT 2.35k, leftover transfer limit is approximately 2.2k for BT. But I have not use my amex (without Maybank logo) for BT & when I tried, the transfer limit is also 2.2k, instead of 5k. I thought m2c is having separate limit with amex w/o Maybank logo?
Please enlighten, many thanks

After BT, my other credit card (A) will have more negative balance if the BT amount is larger than my outstanding.Instead of calling bank A to transfer the monies to my savings account, if I were to cash out the proceeds in credit card (A) via ATM, is this considered as cash advance? Would there be any charges incurred?

hi guys, can I check for Public Bank balance transfer 0% for 6 months, what do I fill in under 'Bank' if I were to transfer the outstanding of my AEON credit card (AEON is not a bank, so is it still proper to put AEON? ) OR Citibank (like when we select payee to pay thru maybank)
Thank you

Same situation as me, I call UOB CS to ask about extra cash in UOB CC card after BT, she said cannot cash out  thru ATM and it will consider as cash advanced.
They will transfer the money thru IBG and this will be no any charge.
I don't know about other banks.
*
Ok. I have called HLB today. It is considered as cash advanced as well if we withdraw from ATM. Therefore its more sensible to call them up for transfer.

*Edit: HLB customer service inform me not to use my credit card for 3 working days otherwise they would be unable to process the transfer confused.gif . This is weird as I have not encounter from other banks like maybank. Anybody can confirm on this?

Applied for MBB BT through M2U today at 12 pm and as usual got the approved in principlel email shortly. The 'unusual' thing was, (today is Sunday), I received the approval email at 5 pm just now.
*
Me too, submitted 1.45pm, approval email received at 5.20pm, approval sms 6.00pm. This is pretty efficient, thank you Maybank 😊

I just done the HLB BT,

I was curious as to why she emphasis on the final payment.
She say if statement show on 1st Dec need to settle on 1st Dec
*
I was tempted to apply for the BT. However, after reading the replies here that says need to settle on a particular day, I think I better forgo, since my card's anniversary is on July and no waiver of annual fee will be entertained in the case of wise card & my credit limit is only 3k haha 😂

Haha.. Same here.. Now my BT monthly repayment is more than RM10k/mth blush.gif

wow, 10k/month is a lot rclxub.gif
if base on 6 months tenure, then you have BT amount of at least 60k..
if base on 12 months tenure, then you have BT amount of at least RM120k rclxub.gif

yes, its possible and i have done that with MBB.
To answer your question, it is ii) 15k x 80% = 12k.
bearbear it make sense to pro long the payment period with same amount of money, consider below scenario.

assuming zero outstanding, no new transaction, and allow 100% of available CL to be used for BT for ease of explanation.

MBB CC CL is 5k, and deposit 7k cash into it, so the available CL is now 12k (with 7k credit in the account).
If we BT 12k from other bank to MBB for 12 mths plan, effectively the monthly repayment is 1k, since we have 7k in credit, we do not need to pay single sen for 7 months.

Whereby had we BT 5k to MBB and paid the 7k cash to other CC, we will have to pay  RM416.67 (5000 / 12) every month to MBB CC.
*
I'm trying to understand the above benefits we get by doing so:
1) 'gain' higher available CL (7k extra from 5k) to enable BT approval by MBB, in order 'fund' for the other bank's credit card spending
2) 'gain' 0% BT for the 7k over the 12 months which one is actually not entitled for base on his available CL but he deserves it by playing a trick to deposit cash into his credit card account.
Anymore that I miss out? 😝

Was told by PB CS that they no longer accept BT for Islamic card, meaning if you hold their Islamic card, they won't approve the BT you applied. So sad, that's the only card I have with PB thus far, no 0% BT for me ...😢

FYI

MBB -request refund of BT overpayment to MBB SA- no problem as usual
HLB - request refund of BT overpayment to HLB SA- no problem, no question asked.
CIMB - cannot refund to  CIMB saving account, only can refund back to your payor card account
31.12.2018 i submitted PBB 0% BT, hopefully  in time for that 0% BT
*
I was warned by a staff of MBB not to do BT to my MBB credit card and request for the surplus to be refunded to my MBB savings account. I only do one or two BT to MBB last year (2018) .. cry.gif . Why did they target on me? They said will not entertain if there is such request in the future...
