Based on my previous and recent experience with AEON BT (just received the confirmation call at 1pm and SMS approval at 5.30pm today!), this is what I did:

1. Print the Unbilled Transaction from PBB online. I circled the Amount Outstanding and highlighted it.

2. Apply for BT using the Amount Outstanding and e-mail the form to AEON Credit customer service.

3. Attach the print out PLUS first page of the earlier PBB full statement (this is what they requested based on my previous experience).

I had no problem getting RM36k approved. Timeline below:

Mon 15 Aug: Submitted forms via e-mail

Wed 17 Aug: Received call at 1pm to confirm BT application. Received SMS approval at 5.30pm to inform that BT application approved.

Super efficient.

Agree. I have a similar experience in that AEON is actually ok with a printout of outstanding amount as long as you include the first page of the previous month's statement which proves that particular credit card belongs to you.

wah, meaning your credit limit more than RM45,000. wonder how much annual income to get that credit limit? AEON cannot pledge FD to get more credit limit.

I really don't know how they calculate credit limit, but I certainly don't have a high annual income (just your average salaried employee in office job).

Out of all my cards, CIMB gave me the most generous credit limit (120k, which makes absolutely no sense), whilst Maybank is the most prudent (2x monthly basic salary, excluding other income and bonus). The irony is that I only spend exactly RM600 a month on my CIMB Cash Rebate card, which is purely to pay AEON CC via POS Online.

it is weird that u got high credit limit with normal average income.

Last time many bank offer high credit limit and some bank start to lower the credit limit for last few years.

Based on my personal experience, my credit limit got ridiculously much higher in recent years. I got my first CC in 2010, and I was used to seeing credit limits of 10k to 20k approx. For the first 2 years, my credit limit was always X times my monthly basic salary.

Once I started qualifying for Visa Signature cards and above and applying for lots of cards (I currently have multiple cards with SCB, PBB, MBB, HLB, AMBank, RHB, CIMB, AEON, Citibank and HSBC), then the credit limits started going beyond 50k and into 100k plus. I really don't spend much on each card, and only use them for promos, balance transfers and cashback etc. I'm also one of those people who cancel and reapply very frequently to avoid annual fees and qualify for "new customer" sign-up promos (especially SCB, CIMB and Citibank).

Again, no idea how they calculate, but I assure you that my income and usage are no way near the credit limits given to me!

For premium credit cards, each card carry a minimum credit limit. That means you get the card, you will get at least the minimum credit limit assigned to the card itself regardless of your salary

Maybank will charge the one time upfront fee of 3% from the approved amount for each approved application.

The 2% will be WAIVED for application approved during the Campaign Period.

The 2% up-front fee waiver will be reversed from the credit card account within 30 working days from the approval date.
