where are you ... when you start the mapking software.....


chances is your are in a area indoor ... that's why satelite signal not able to pick up.....

or ...

the system crash ..... delete .. the whole thing ... and reinstall the whole thing again ...


my P 535 is just working fine .... but ..

the map software is not so accurate :

example .. my house in Located at Jalan 2/2

but my GPS (mapking software ) show that i am at Jalan 12/2

can i load mapking and garmin in a same device...coz i wanna try out which 1 is better GPS s/w...when i load mapking, selected COM2, stil working...but Garmin cant work....seem 2 COM clash...any idea ha??

U can installed noth in 1 device but u can't start both together...

anybody has tried the asus 526 before? its suppose to be a gps pda phone...

btw, asus haven officially release WM 6.0 (english-malaysia) for asus P535 rite?i checked got english-thai wo, can use ah?

Nah...not really an expert..still learning..U ask me on GPS related thingy probably yes but u ask others PDA functions I dunno much..

Yes u can I have been switching between Mapking & Garmin Que on daily basis...no problem..but occasionally after u opened Mapking, there wil be a minor conflick when u try open Garmin..Just soft reset & us can start GPS proxy & Garmin again...

BTW on the WM6 Thai English, As u can see from the response I received from Asus, he reminded me to install only "Malaysia" version..or else..if suka-suka try the Thai version and some wording changed to Thai ..It will not be reversaeble anymore + Asus might disclaim this waranty due to non-following their instruction....

Yes GPS com port for all P535's navigations softwares runs on Com port 2. It is fixed.but the application and virtual coms port can be numerous. ..So far only comport 5 works...

er...i soft reset it as ur instruction, then i select GPS gate as COM 2, then load garmin QUe, it showed GPS no connected, then search for COM 3, but end up oso cant connect to any GPS....any suggestion here???

I dun use gpsgate so can't comment much but if u'r using GPS proxy ur setting should be:

1) GPS com port: 2
2) All other com ports in proxy =com 5
3) Ensure GPS proxy setting is link to Garmin Que
4) in Garmin Que Interface pg, - also set at com 5 rather than Auto detect

Also the correct GPS2.2c should be "Baud Rate Correction"

I'm beginning to miss having 3.5G data speeds, like I used to on my 6110 Navigator.

Having 3G on my M600i does not help a bit.

And GPRS only on my Asus P535 makes things worse.

Hmm... Maybe I should change to a D810.

But sigh, there's no longer any White D810 for sale, and I don't fancy the Black D810.

Oh yes, brother! Come to the D810 camp! Have subscribed to the RM99 unlimited data package from Maxis and man, I absolutely love being able to use my device on the internet anytime I wish without worrying about charges and at relatively high speeds. If I have my laptop with me, I`d pair it with my device to go online most of the time.

I've been looking at used sets, but no White units. All are Black units.

But apart from the lack of 3G/3.5G, I still like my P535 a lot!
