Hi guys,

I am planning to buy P535 after much consideration... cool stuff..
One of the salesman told me that the GPS tracking with P535 is not so accurate compared to P800W.. is it true?
Not sure with which map, but perhaps with MapKing..

Has any tested with both mapking and garmin?
Or with any other better gps map?

Looking forward your good advises..

Thanks.

Added on July 14, 2007, 11:26 amHi everyone,

My car is tinted with "safe tint" brand..
I have read some /forum article that v-kool tint will bar gps signal.

The salesman at low yat says that as long as my car is not tinted with v-kool, he guarantee there will be no problem...

Will appreciate if anyone can give feedback.. cheers

Refer to previous problem faced by strik3 using the hi-end safetint ..If urs is hi-end i.e paying >RM1.5K..for sure the film is equivalent to Vcool hi-end too...i.e the one blocking the smart-tag reception...If smartag can't work so do satelite signal...& it is adviseable to get an ext antenna...Remember satelite signal is very weak and cannot penetrate thru buildings, concreate, and even below thick vegetation!...So anything that block the signal inc of hi-end tinting...gone liow....

Thanks for the feedback bro stimix..
let me check with smartag to see if it works with my tint..
have a good weekend... cheers

Hopefully, I can contribute in the future too.. erkk of course, after toying around first..

@ Strik3 - The P535's GPS works with my tint.. no need extra antenna..

The guy from PDA Expert@ Brilliant LYT was kind enough to test the unit in my car before purchasing it..
Very good service...

Just for information, I am using EcoTint with Ray Barrier TFI 3880A in my front windscreen..

Cheers.

Welcome to chrono_breaks...

been bz the last 2 days fiddling with the gps function.. javascript:emoticon(':cool2:')
smilie
Still not very familiar yet but managed to make it to work with the voice prompt.. quite cool...

Wifi, bluetooth, msn, is also good so far..
However, my pda hangs sometimes and have to reset it.. not sure if I have done anything wrong..

Some questions:
I had to reset the pda after inserting my SIM card? Is it normal?
Is it true that if you charge the phone with car charger too often, it can deteriorate the battery?
How can add a shortcut for some programs on the main screen?

Cheers..

Will try to get either software installed soon.. SPB or claunch..

I think car charger is useful especially on gps mode... will use it when need it..
The reason I am asking is because some pda sales guys told me without me asking about it..
tought it was an issue..

Best advise are from peoples are are actually using it... notworthy.gif

Alamak.. never used pay pal before.. sorry guys..

thanks tester1979 & Strik3.. cheers.

My car is V-Kool tinted and I cannot get a fix inside the car!  vmad.gif
That's the cheapest I've seen so far!

Sigh, to think I just got mine at RM 200 extra 2 weeks ago. Just have myself to blame for not shopping around more.
Damn, I asked them before I bought 2 weeks ago and was quoted RM 2,300 with 2GB!

Sigh... Prices drop so fast...
*
Price will drop along the way.. not only for pda phone..

Just for any who are buying new P535..
my pda also came with mobisure insurance (AIG) which covers minimum 2 months..
However, have do call them within the first 3 weeks to discontinue if do not want the insurance..
About Rm50 a month premium.. I don't think I will continue.. expensive laa. especially looking at the depreciation..

So far, I am happy with my pda mobile..j thumbup.gif
