QUOTE(redant7 @ Oct 9 2016, 05:04 PM) Hi All, I'm currently on subscription to Maxis Home fibre 10mb in an old apartment. There's no fiber optic cabling to our unit, jz using existing tel line (copper). So far speed okay for 10mb. Now I have intention to switch to TIME 100mbps, question is that will they install fiber optic cabling into our unit ? If subscribe TIME 100mb after 1 year and wish to upgrade to 300mb is there any charges ? Anymore promotion for new customer ? Hi Bro, We will be pulling in a thin white color 2C fibre cable into your unit. There is no upgrade fee, you merely paying the upgraded package price. Current standard promo is RM100 Rebate (1--31 Oct 2016). Thanks.

QUOTE(darkjackal @ Oct 11 2016, 04:06 PM) Hi, how long it take to do the internet installation? I need that at Oasis Corp Park Thanks Hi Bro, For order submission to actual Installation day estimated 7 to 10 days. Actual on-site Installation would depend on the unit complexity. Normally for commercial area it takes slightly longer time, around 2--5 hours, assuming work permit is obtained before hand. Thanks. This post has been edited by jjj2: Oct 11 2016, 04:24 PM

QUOTE(spoonkin @ Oct 17 2016, 05:12 PM) My story is like this, i was using IPTV 6mb when it was first launched, then one day I received a call from astro, say upgrade to 10MB for free because I am loyal customer but tied up 2years contract. After I signed up, 2-3 months later I can see it online, the same package offer to new subscriber for the same price. And then after another few months, Time release 100mb at my condo. Its obvious they knew its coming, so quickly tied up current customer with 2 years plan. So I felt cheated, maybe not so much from Astro but the telesales giving all sales talk. So with few months to go, I rather pay double line for Time and cancel the day my astro contract over. Just worried, after sign up, another deal from astro or time on this 100mb line. So wondering anyone have insider news. TLDR, 2 years IPTV sux Hi Bro, pls refer to your pm. It's not convenient for us to comment anything regarding on Astro here. Thanks.

QUOTE(justanovice @ Oct 20 2016, 11:52 PM) Thinking of moving to time bb, from my unifi 10mb Can help with following: 1) stability vs unifi ( slow, line down etc) 2) my place is a condo. Do u still need to pull any canle in, or directly use the phone line is good enough and no new wiring / cabling is required? Hi, Thanks for your interest with Time Fibre Home Broadband. 1) Well...Its hard to generally define which one is more stable as many factors do play a role in determining the stability. But with our 6 years experiences with Time Fibre, we can generally say Time is very much stable. 2) If your building does not have fibre prelaid, yes new fibre cable will be pulled into your house. Sorry, the existing copper lines cannot be used under the Gpon system. Thanks.

QUOTE(vankodoq @ Oct 21 2016, 10:27 PM) Anyone else got "throttled" download speed? A week ago I still got 5-10 mBps download (I'm on 300 mbps plan), but it's currently < 1 mBps. Even 40% of the time (I guess) is < 500 kBps. Pls test again Bro...last 2 days we detected a slow down too but now is normal. Thanks.

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 22 2016, 02:15 PM) Question for all the TIME SIs, have you all encountered issues whereby other telco's installer disrupt your customer's fiber connection? I personally know 1 person that had her Fiber plugged out at the MDF room of her condo. She found out after her SI came on site and saw the fiber unplugged. I'm not making allegations here but this morning Telco T came to install a connection on level 10 around 11am. I came home at 1.30 and found out my ONU's LOS light is red. Called support and found no fiber cut nor OLT failure in the area. Yes we had this experience before..but anyhow your case might be caused by other issue as well Please kindly make a report at 1800 18 1818. Thanks.

QUOTE(Aelzen @ Oct 24 2016, 10:42 PM) Can anyone tell me what the default password for the DIR-850L should be? I had it installed some time ago, and never needed to log in until recently - but now I've no idea what it is. What strikes me as most odd is there's no username field, just password, but whatever. What is it likely to have been set to be the technician? The default password you just have to leave it blank. Thanks.

QUOTE(urb7 @ Oct 25 2016, 09:17 AM) I'm currently using TL-WR841HP, if I were to change to D-Link DIR-850L, is there any benefits doing so? Hi, Benefits using DIR850L, you get 5GHz band, AC1200 & Ge (Gigabit) ports... But you will lose out the high power antenna gain feature of your WR841HP. Thanks.
