QUOTE All FREE Internet promotions including but not limited to the 'Smart FREE Basic Internet' and 'FREE Social/FREE Sozial' are subjected to Digi's FREE Internet Fair Usage Policy fully determined by Digi. Yeah you're right, according to Digi TnC |

I called CS today ask to downgrade my plan from 68 to 48 more internet as I hardly use it for internet . The CS ask me if I would like to gv additional 2 gb and become 5gb monthly for digi 48 plan. The CS told me I can do it at digi center and no contract. Since no contract and still can downgrade . I will goto center to proceed

Can someone explain which of 3 big Telco get the best spectrum re-allocation?
As I can see, Digi got 2x5MHz of 900MHz while Celcom and Maxis got 2x10MHz. So the highest 'MHz' of 900MHz is better? This post has been edited by Cento: Oct 1 2016, 12:11 PM |

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Oct 1 2016, 12:20 PM) highest mean more speed but less coverage I see, thanks. lowest mean wider coverage but easy congest correct me if im wrong So, with this reallocation, I really hope Digi can improve their network coverage especially 4G network. Here at my place, sometimes changing to 3G make internet connection almost unusable. I have to switch to Wifi to get connection. |

One more thing about having wider coverage. The wider the coverage, the more user is using it, the more congested it is going to be. That is why sometimes a telco don't really want to cover a condo or apartment, cause there are just to many people at an area that can really easily congest the network, so they much rather lose about 100 subscribes than to have a bad name and lose more subscribers. Cases like "got coverage slow no use one"

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Oct 1 2016, 12:20 PM) highest mean more speed but less coverage Half correct? Lolxlowest mean wider coverage but easy congest correct me if im wrong Telco should/will use multi spectrum for ease congestion. For current big 3, A tower can have 2600mhz and 1800mhz 2600 mhz can transmit 1km 1800mhz can transmit 2km So, user will use 2600mhz at 0-1km from the site instead of 1800mhz While user within 1km-2km will using 1800mhz So 900mhz comes will let user at 2-3km having LTE Also, more penetration to in building |

Users also won't be focus in 1 band only.. Can spread it on how far from tower |

QUOTE(prosibu @ Oct 1 2016, 05:57 PM) Half correct? Lolx Not all places have multiple bands. For example, here in Alor Setar all towers are only using 1800Mhz.Telco should/will use multi spectrum for ease congestion. QUOTE(kernel123 @ Oct 1 2016, 10:03 PM) why is it so? depends on state government regulation? I think it is still up to Digi to config the network this way. Alor Setar don't need that high bandwidth. So coverage is more important than bandwidth. With a really good signal I can still get 50+ mbps in some more "relaxed" area.1800Mhz is slow man..2600 is much better. even got 2 bar signal |
