The "trend followers" all makan media one. Baca suratkhabar our effed up media tells them "ecigs dangerous", "battery meletup" all go back to ciggies already lol.

Which is pretty ironic lol, considering 3rd degree burns on your thighs is still plenty preferable to terminal cancer. But yeah... common sense lol.

Also, it's probably expected that mushrooming shops built around a "trend" will suffer once the trend dies out (or in our case, being killed slowly)... unless you've preemptively built a wide regular clientele network beforehand (well... amongst other things ler).

In the end, unless the Gomen takes drastic measures, it's prolly gonna roll like every other new niche business starting out. Shops (and commercial juice mixers) will thin out and only the better ones will remain. The threat of regulation is only speeding the process up je.

yes dekat Kuantan ni, 80% trend followers. but still cukurrr got few regular customers. but then my shop sell most of the juices at retail price (eg Aj vape RM 40)
so ppl always complain "haritu saya beli 30 yar je?". Told them to call the suppliers to check what is the retail price. I know ppl love cheap stuff but don't la come in and compare with other "no shop seller" vmad.gif vmad.gif

Agreed...but then theres also "adapt or die" attitude. Those smaller businesses. Theyre already losing, just to minimize costs.
In the end its always the giants that survive. As they pay lower costs (in a sense) and bigger funds. I guess you cant run from capitalism?

Survival of the fittest? Law of the jungle. I think its wise for who has a lot of funds to buy over closing smaller vape businesses.
Basically paying a fraction* of the costs. And then persevere/sustain. Sure its a risk, but aren't all business a risk. The main thing is to have loads of funds.

But then again, our culture isn't about that, most of our business are all about profit profit profit. Not to say profit is wrong, but i think to have other motivation than money would be good too. For a cause...so to say.

Somehow i think Vape Empire would survive. Well hopefully. Maybe close down a few stores when it goes really bad (since i think theyre almost everywhere).

Well thats just my kopi petang talk. I dont own a business. Hoping for the best.

*edited corrected friction to fraction. Cant believe i used friction.

Yeah that. Didn't want to say out of courtesy but it's exactly that. That's how a market matures I guess.

Funny that I was actually thinking that VE would survive jugak. Their massive expansion did serve an extra, often overlooked purpose: Making them a very well known brand thoughout the region (check out VE Vietnam, Thailand and India), even if the current hostile local situation is hurting even them to the point that they're closing a few of their local branches (though I do think they can actually afford losing a few limbs at this point in time lol). At least people know they exist as a brand.

Hopefully they do survive. I've been to a couple of their shops and while pricing isn't cut rate cheap, most of their branches had relatively decent service, a wide variety of stocks and interesting time-limited offers that kept things fresh. They felt like the Tesco of local vaping shops really lol.

And yeah, as much as Giant/Mydin/TF can be cheaper, I'm a sucker for Tesco variety of choice, offers and decent service. Go figure lol.

So yeah, with the basics all nailed down, only the Gomen going full postal on vaping would kill VE off I guess (and even then I hear they have been taking preemptive measures to make sure that they won't go down that easy if the Gomen does decide to go full retard).

On the other hand, you can always go full "boutique" and "exclusive" as what LeGadgets had done. Sure, their prices can be cekik darah, but I honestly don't think their clientele cares lol.

It'll be pretty fun looking at how the market matures really... provided our Gomen doesn't go FDA or TPD on us.

Yeap. But i think VEs price is pretty decent.

As for gomen going full retard, our community arent strong enough for these. Thats why we should get involved in whatever is happening in US/UK. Because i do believe that once its banned there, most country esp us is just going to template the law over.

Le Gadgets ... no idea never been there. Just saw a picture once of their shop i think...someone posted.

I dont have ipv5 but i tried it when i m choosing either cuboid 150w or ipv5.
Ipv5 more on flavouring
Cuboid for throat hit.
I choose cuboid cause i like throat hit and cuboid size smaller.
