If you have a good system like 3.xxGHz and above proc,you will be able to drive the 5900 card(o/c speed) to 6500 points in 3D mark 03. Indeed got quite number of people was flashing the 5900XT to the 5950ultra also. I did this before to 5900 ultra and 5950 ultra.Actually is not much difference but just the core and memory will be set to higher speed in default after flashing both image. Actually no need to flash them also can drive the display card speed to those level.

It depends on the ns of the memory chips in the GPU
1st revision from Leadtek is the best, can OC to 5900U speeds at default Thats what I am using |

I just have a question to ask.
If i upgrade from my current 9800Pro to 7600GT is there any significant improvement in terms of gaming? Im not that hardcore gamer, just that currently looking a card to prolong my system. If im not mistaken, 7600GT is 12pipe card rite? Hope is not too over-topic. This post has been edited by KahLooN: Mar 24 2007, 02:31 PM |

You ever try add a fan blow on NB?? I think it may help. You wanna change the nb sink with hr05?? i put the fan there to cool down my rams and mobo..cuz after changing to the Ultra90 i noticed that the mobo temp increased im soo lazy to rearrange my cables right now..i'll do it when i change my casing I not too extreme and nb cooling is not a big issue for me. But the nb heatsink is hotter than my xp120 headsink. QUOTE(shinjite @ Mar 24 2007, 01:10 PM) fx5900 didnt really show the performance in dx9 gaming like what we expect in 3dmark03. 98pro is a better choice. |

OFF Topic: Anyone from here going to Lan Party tomorrow? I want to see 478 rig in action, man. *Looking for pengster. He stay nearby ss15 This post has been edited by irangan: Mar 24 2007, 03:01 PM |

@irangan
Im just searching for a card that can handle current game without many glitch. Just say at 1280*1024 resolution without those eye candy stuff. Compare to your previous 1950pro, indeed the proc is bottleneck. The card itself need plenty of raw processing power if compare to 7600GT. Regarding the 6800XT, it seems like the card is good but it is using DDR2 and yet a level behind of 7600GT. Anyway, still deciding whether upgrading my card is worth. KahLoon,go ahead if you want to change your card to 7600GT.I support you here.Your system still be able to drive the 7600GT well.Compare to irangan's case,he was using X1950 PRO with his 3.4GHz proc.
