AI7 is the best 865PE chipset from Abit and one of the best for OCing smile.gif
Although it loses to the 875P, but not far behind, if you know how to set it up properly, it can be even better than the 875 smile.gif

Does any body here know what is the different between Asus P4P800E-Deluxe mobo and P4P800-Deluxe mobo? I heard about that, the P4P800 none E version then is the legendary mobo for s478.. hmm.gif

@shinjite
Yeap, i have read the review and it say this board is very good. nod.gif But the lack of Silicon Image SATA Controller and Intel CSA NC is somehow a let down.

@raymond5105,kabukiawie
Well currently i dont have much time to play with the board, as my previous Patriot ram die on the same day with the board. So i got a replacement Team Xtreem. Guess it will take some time to find the sweet spot again. smile.gif

THe Hyper path is boosting the data transfering right? Does this help in overclocking,like pushing to higher FSB?

That the feeling la, Shinjite. haha.... especially currently active on this thread users are using abit.

PAT is available in all 865PE and 875 chipset no matter what brand. Just the name for it is different.

Last time shawty had mentioned that E mobo able to oc higher than non E according to his experience. Quite numbers of 478 Asus mobo he used like p4p800 dlx, p4p800-e dlx, p4c800 dlx, p4p800x etc. sweat.gif

But now he is not 478 users anymore. haha.....

PAT is available for Intel 865 chipsets too, but it is disabled by Intel but 3rd party manufacturers is able to unlock it and chnage it to different names like Hyperpath by ASUS and GAT by Abit

irangan : About why Gigabyte wants to use the full PAT name, that I don't know, not to say ASUS can't, just wanna avoid the authorities smile.gif

Ya originally is from the 875 chipset. But somehow later those 3rd party mobos are also trying to enable the function in 865 chipset.865 chipset is the cut cost version of 875 chipset,so that's why it got chances to be unlocked.
