i already tested..... My ram and processor cannot go beyond 230FSB, no matter what timing i set.
probably my low vcore is the main problem like mentioned by shinjite. so currently 225FSB with 2-3-3-5 is the best i can get and maintained. |

Hmmm....I think the last thing you can do it tighten up your ram timings, go to 2-3-2-5 and see instead of 2-3-3-5

QUOTE(shinjite @ Jan 6 2007, 12:15 AM) QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Jan 6 2007, 09:53 AM) like what you said, asus mobo really overvolt when idle. when load, it drop back. hmm...... okay later i'll disable it enable and disable spread spectrum not much different to me. i disabled it already. even though the result is for amd, i think the outcome is almost the same. loosen the timing seems help to push higher, maybe irangan's ce-5 can go 250 at c2.5. now have good ram in hand, it better that find the max fsb 1st instead of tighten the timing. after reach there, tighten the timing to squeeze more. just my 2 cents. |

BUT i have 6 ram slots! hehe about the ram, yes it is a very nice ram especially with its very cheap price. |

Wah your RAM can go with 2-3-3-5 timing, that's very nice.I think your RAM maybe can't get the 2-3-2-5 as the RAM's limitation or the chipset's limitation.though, my mobo is 875P but no match in term of OC if compare to your IC7 Max. sigh. QUOTE(overclockalbert @ Jan 8 2007, 12:56 AM) @irangan very true... i875P chipset only can support 4 pieces of ram, anything more than that is considered OC your mobo. it is written in the manual. haha.. the Gigabyte mobo u have there with 6 ram slot is a gimmic by gigabyte. u won't used up that much of slot either. but the mobo is really a great one for i875 chipset mobo series! no doubt of it. last time i bought this mobo is due to its wide range goodies that come with its and of course the gimmic of 6 ram slots. haha. QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Jan 8 2007, 08:29 AM) i think you can check your mobo website for details.
