did that... the best i can get is from 225FSB, 3 4 4 8 to 225FSB, 2 3 3 5. i can go 225FSB 2 3 2 5 but sometime cant boot and sometime can. not sure why.

though, my mobo is 875P but no match in term of OC if compare to your IC7 Max. sigh. BUT i have 6 ram slots! hehe

about the ram, yes it is a very nice ram especially with its very cheap price.

To me the only difference is its BIOS got more things, Vdimm at 3.2V and has OTES and more SATA drives support.

IS7-E the limit is its Vdimm, do a Vmod on it and you can get Vdimm of a IC7. Plus you can enable and disable PAT.

If you can, get the Abit AI7 if you can't get either the IS7-E/IC7-Max 3:) The best i865 chipset mobo from Abit

there is only 2 possible scenarios.

1)i think your old DDR400 is not compatible with your new ram. are you sure that your old DDR400 is Kingston Value RAM? just now during the trading, i gave you my ram box too. you can check the serial num on the box. my ram is 100% Kingston Value RAM.

2)your mobo dual channel have problem.

info: dual channel only works when both of the ram is identical. e.g. KVR and KVR and so on.

edit: Run memtest on my ram, i am sure that your pro is not due to faulty ram. i tested the ram before sold to you just now

using my intel mobo for around 2.5years...no prob at all coz only can use it at stock (can't oc or whatsoever.... ) but intel mobo are good if u are not an overclocker...very stable...

yeah of course.the X1950XT should be the best AGP card available  with that RM1.2k+ can get you a E6600 now or even more in the near future 
Guys,just a question,how long does it take for you guyz to burn 2 movies into a DVD with ur p4 rigs?when i tried on stock 2.4Ghz it took me close to 3hours to finish burning 2 movies in 1 DVD+R   

E6600 + P5B-E Plus + 8800GTS + 2gig D9GMH ram + SilverStone PSU + Lian Li casing. My current buy listing.. Sry for off topic.

The highest I can go is 3.9Ghz and 5:4. I cant go any higher. I can push it higher if I can pump more than v1.6. :9

If want to reach your target, some risk is a must. haha.

This shows that P4 really cant catch up with those lastest GC already. But I still think that if you use your comp for normal usage and casual gaming. P4 is more than enough.

Yup, yet the performance is bottleneck by s478 due to cpu, agp, ddr1 etc . Like what irangan use 1950pro on his 3.4C. Not really worth it for the price/performance. Unless you are using s939 then more juice can squeeze. Correct me if i am wrong.

fylon, make sure u got good PSU also...this will bring stability to ur system...

thts the Extreme Edition..but then 865 chipset series mobo can support it or not? in my mobo manual, it stated tht it only supports northwood and prescort.tht TS there mention 42-43 C on idle,but then i feel its quite hot also at stock.he's using hyper 47 cooler.shud be below 34C for the type of cooler for normal proc at idle at stock setting.
