Maxis 3G anjd any other wireless broadband depend on area of coverage & density as everyone knows. So the high speed probably due the the availability of the nearest 3.5G tower, extremely good signals & also the number of users at that location. So one fellow getting high speed doesn't mean another will get the same and in this instances, those getting very low speed & getting frequent disconnection to GPRS speed and etc, will definitely suffered such as few forumers here such as crackysys & elfreakz Me too although getting extremely high speed at current location, but once bck home, my speed reduced to a miserable avg 15KB/s or only 120kbps only worst than DIGI Edge!.. So to say Maxis 3G really good also depend on the above factors, as well as othyer WIRELESS broadband providers too... QUOTE(Crusnik04 @ Apr 3 2009, 12:15 AM) whoa i see all u guys that use maxis 3g have very high download speed!!sure it better than maxis wireless bb?how bout on9 games,is better than that wireless? Added on April 3, 2009, 12:18 amguys..is it true maxis are upgrade their service?cuz when i see the map for check coverage almost all malaysia states have red mark meaning service upgrade..so that the reason we cant surf the internet with HSDPA speed?!

Craky..better start complain now.. I was facing the same problem in Dec, Jan & Feb but now everything going smoothly...that also after numerous calls...& private visit by their technician to verify my complain..
I'm suspecting they hv limited 3.5G towers, and once ppl complains, the technician moved the aerial to satisfy those guys , once the other side ppl complains, they start moving the aerial again.....and there goes your precious smooth download....

Sharing my experiences with you guys. During Nov, Dec, Jan the speed has been excellent, after 6Feb'09 the speed has been bad to worst. Prior to this my RS, Megaupload and other direct dl site speed average about 150KBps but now if I can continuously dl about 50KBps without disconnection will be a bonus. I already made numerous complain to CS but till today there are still no solution from them. There is 1 time I requested for 50% rebates on my Unlimited Data bill and you know what, they actually cut it (term : Goodwill Waiver - Customer Satisfaction). The trick here is when you complain, never mention about speed issue as their package is about "Unlimited Data". Instead mention on disconnection and traffic that require to be disconnected and re-connect which affect to your browsing especially to e-banking sites. If you are Maxis voice customer, it will be added advantage as you are complaining of unable to make Video Calls and sometimes even can't receive voice call. Dun worry, Maxis CS is way better then Celcom CS, actually the CS when come to data issue they always try to babble about settings and all those standard procedure so make sure you know how to counter them by being better informed, if they are still stubborn ask for their superior to deal with you, lastly do remember the name of the CS when making a complain and always request for your case no. That is my intension to let others learn better tips so that when we complain, CS won't treat us like just another person making complain and forget about it. They must remember we are paying for their service not vise-versa.
ibnuasad, dun worry I won't delete it unless MOD request / what I posted is illegal.

Basically what you have done is you have shared your experience in dealing in such situations which may be helpful for others as well. That's the function of the message board as its basically a place for users to share and ask

Actually I do hope they are monitoring this post, at least now they know their customer is no more naive as they might think. We know our rights (as a paying customer).
