Just got called from Maxis, being offered package MOB118

Basically, it is 2 years contract, monthly commitment amount of RM118, with rebate of RM50 per month. So, effectively, will be paying RM68 for 2 years (24 months), and on 25th month, will need to pay RM118

The package consist of
Unlimited call and sms to any telco
5Gb data per month
Free Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace (option to upgrade)

Don't get into contract. WM will get the same EM plan later with unlimited late night quota and you will regret it.

belum lagi.....quite tempted to sign up for their new package....as human nature also, fear of unknown....been with maxis since day 1, so far, no complain, line quality not ideal or perfect, but ok lah whenever I go. The only complain is same like everyone, mahal like shiet......heard (not sure if propaganda by Maxis) is that other Telco line is really bad....

BTW, currently using SurfMore50 + auto topup 1Gb, total every month pay 50+15=65. I am more of heavy data user, few call/ sms call out, call in yes.

same as u, i was on surfmore50 + 1gb plan. not many calls and sms. i went to celcom to port to the first gold. got a call from their loyalty dept offer rm68 plan with 5gb data + 15gb spotify thingy. i ask them to increase total data as i don't use spotify and that 5gb cannot compete with celcom's 10gb offering. end up didn't agree and just successfully ported over to celcom about an hour ago

as of now, lte and h+ speed is good. at least comparable (or maybe even better but can't say for sure as i never do all those speed test) to maxis. calls quality is good and very clear.

i think alot of people also like you (me included), afraid of the unknown... but this is what i think. telco is getting very competitive now. if maxis do offer a better plan in the future (many people are saying they will, but god knows when...), i can always port back to maxis. porting is such an easy process nowadays...

They said that they will be a competitive plan from them. Just wait. If u take the offer now you must honor the contract for 2 years. So better stay with no contract
