QUOTE(hongie @ Apr 6 2016, 09:08 AM) Maxis making loyal customer feel that they are stupid fool, hope it isn't that way when their new plan is out, still putting hope on it haha My personal stand is this. If their new plans do not have something to benefit current customers on contract, I will pay my penalties and I will walk away. Before I do that, I will give them one more round of hell, and this time, I won't do it on social media (since I'm banned from their FB page anyway). I will do it very loudly at their maxis centre. QUOTE(stevenX @ Apr 6 2016, 09:21 AM) Its gonna be hard for contract customer to get benefit. Because its all under "contract" which mean you agree to the SUM and service offer, thats why you sign it. Hardly you can take the price u agree before to argue for the price right now. The best case that could happen is, maxis give u additional free maybe 5gb. Just like u buy a device when it lauch with 3k, u cant simply go make noice because few month later the device price drop to 2k. Call me easy, but I can live with my existing contract commitments for extra GBs for now.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 6 2016, 11:22 PM) maybe she special staff for maxis QUOTE(hongie @ Apr 6 2016, 11:30 PM) Maxis so pandai analyze, got so much of our data but dunno what we want? Analyse for what? No need to make it too personal guys. She's doing her job, and frankly I don't envy anybody who is a maxis staff right now.

6,500 angry emoji reactions, 3000++ comments (most are definitely not good) and 3,000++ shares later, still no official statement to calm the public or at least apologize.

QUOTE(nVidiaFX @ Apr 7 2016, 08:15 AM) I been play by their asshole two times . I am ducking pissed I am paying around 190-220 per month I know not a lot compare to some of you here.. Rant on Maxis fb someone tag me and say will be in touch with me then Mia. Later someone ask me to provide number to be called back Mia . I call 123 yesterday, around 4 pm was waiting for cs to layan me waited 15-20 minutes on hold. Was told, special plan only for people not on plan . I am on a blood sucking, 158 a month with 4GB when I got my iPhone 6. I said nvm if u can't do better, I will port out. She said okay, just go any nearest maxis Centre and u can port out... So that's the story Ya, if you're still on contract (like myself) they won't give a damn.

QUOTE(yeelong @ Apr 7 2016, 11:01 AM) Yes, they are getting short term gains now, But will lost the long term gain, forever. Those have ported out will never trusted Maxis again. In business, always aim for long term, need to take care of your customers/clients where Maxis shortsighted on this. True, but may not always be the case. Those who have ported to D/U/C and suddenly realize the network is far inferior and if maxis comes back with a good counter offer, they may just swallow their pride and come back. In the end, maxis loses nothing. Of course, those who felt betrayed by the brand will never come back, so it depends on the consumer in the end. After all, we vote with our wallets.

QUOTE(tat3406 @ Apr 7 2016, 11:09 AM) You should try other telco, the network from the others telco is very good for majority users. QUOTE(howiseveryone @ Apr 7 2016, 11:12 AM) "far inferior" ??? if u compare maxis and say, u mobile or other smaller players, maybe but my experience tells me celcom and digi is just as good if not better BUT all these depends on where and what but I've been on both maxis and celcom - both as good where I work and stay. so, I will go for the lowest $$ and most data/goodies. Not to mention, ontop of those who've decided to leave for good, some who've ported out of maxis may have taken up phone deals with other Telco's which would tie them up for 12-24 months. u lost them for at least 1 year now and in 1 year's time, a lot can happen in this price/data/coverage war.... Yes, you guys are absolutely right. It all depends on coverage area. Personally, I have tried DiGi (2 years contract), Celcom (1 year contract) and even U Mobile and at my area unfortunately none of them are really stable. It's a matter of location and probably timing as well. But I agree that a lot can happen within a year or two - coverage and network quality can be improved, prices can be lowered, etc. In the end, consumers don't really lose, except if you sign a contract, which is the biggest lesson I learnt from this whole maxis fiasco. Don't sign a device contract with a telco - especially for two years!

QUOTE(yeelong @ Apr 7 2016, 11:08 AM) There is not such thing "swallow their pride" on returning. It's our choice to use whichever package that serve us better. With no contract on package era, we are free men now. Telco must up and maintain their service while keep competing with each other. We are the winners. Agree, we are the winners. Especially next week when some fella comes and offer 20GB for RM10...

QUOTE(air_mood @ Apr 7 2016, 03:44 PM) Got the SMS, checked with Maxis KLCC and was told RM 158 for 10GB data. Considering that I am currently tied still to a balance of 18 months of contract, am partially considering taking this then decide on what's best at the end or near the end of contract when it's worth paying the penalty to port out. Am I the only one on contract that's not being offered anything? Ha ha ha

QUOTE(air_mood @ Apr 7 2016, 04:10 PM) I'm guessing 18 months will be very, very hefty. Simple calculation would be minimum contract amount X 18 months? I've got 18 months left on an iPhone 6S Plus. Penalty as of today is RM941.00. Another iPad Air 2 with 8 months left. Penalty RM288.

QUOTE(air_mood @ Apr 7 2016, 04:17 PM) 2nd one sounds more feasible if I was to take. Going to run down my contract a bit more. Yes, that one I plan to pay the penalty this weekend, it's a Surfmore 50. And if they come back and offer unlimited calls and texts, I'd ask them to stuff it unless they can make cellular calls from an iPad. Won't be in a hurry to port as well. Let's see what unfolds next week (20GB for RM10? Really?)

QUOTE(wc_how @ Apr 7 2016, 08:43 PM) Don't know why, maxis speed cap and EDGE are usually unusable compare to the other telco. I agree. When I go over quota and my speed is throttled to E, it's almost unusable for Safari on my iPad.
