I had some issues with Citibank this morning and called their helpline. I was speaking to a human in less than 2 minutes and problem immediately solved in 7 minutes. Would have been faster had I not key in the wrong department to speak to. Now reading about maxis' customer service people suddenly disappearing, I just wrote an email to Citibank to thank them for their efficiency in handling my call.

QUOTE(sandiego @ Apr 7 2016, 09:17 PM) After reading all this I'm actually a tiny bit surprised that there are still people that are using maxis. Guilty of No. 2.Maxis sucks in every single way....every single way. There is only 2 reasons to use it: 1. You're not a smart consumer and don't know about any other telco 2. You're tied to a contract I was a loyal maxis user for 11 years and decided to port out to celcom last year. Now I'm on Digi's 7GB plan as it is the best for me currently. |

QUOTE(junkyman @ Apr 8 2016, 10:47 AM) However, if they do not give their existing contract customers something when they revise their plans, then I'll definitely break it. This post has been edited by attw: Apr 8 2016, 11:00 AM |

Typical day at the maxis call centre this morning: -
A: Sigh... so many more calls to take today... Don't know how long I can take it anymore... B: Well, no choice lor, our bosses really f*ed up this time. Anyway, just make sure you have everyone's contracts' duration and penalties ready... C: Oh, and don't forget to get a copy from marketing on what "special plans" to promote to those fellas that we sent that special SMS to B: OMFG! What happened? How did that new plan get on to the web? C: Which idiot went and actually emailed that to a customer.... Oh no, new strategy needed to handle today's call A: And no memo from the bosses yet on how to handle this... How? B: Aiya, simple la, just ignore the calls lor... let them ring long long... QUOTE(purplehill @ Apr 8 2016, 11:04 AM) I'm currently on Maxis I-Value 155 plan and still have at least 8 months contract to go.. Called Maxis CS to check if I can switch to Maxis One Plan, guess what?? the answer is NO!! I was told that I can only switch to Maxis One Plan after my Maxis I-Value 155 Plan completed. Isn't it so stupid? I have been with Maxis for more than 10 years with having 2 sub lines.... I really think to port out and switch to another Telco (was thinking U Mobile or Digi) Again, it's tied to the value of your phone. The easiest way to check that is to call 123 (but looking at the feedback, you have to wait half an hour before you get an answer these days) or walk into a maxis centre nearest to youAnyone here has a clue about the termination fee of I-Value Plan? |

I'm guessing they'll have more detailed announcements on plans and what not come end of the month. This was just a fire-fighting quickie that they had to do to respond to the angry mob. Sadly it looks like it's too little too late, judging from the response on their FB page (which I am still banned from)

QUOTE(fancygummies @ Apr 8 2016, 04:33 PM) I am a digi user. And you posted this on an anti-maxis thread becoz?Recently, Digi charge me some unauthorized charges and claims that is from my sent out from my side. I was so surprise when the bill came out and at first I thought is my fault for not clearing the bill. And so I went and check the bill statement. It surprised me because I saw suspicious transaction in my bill statement. The SMS to turkey was shocking. At first I still suspect is a mistake from my end. I went and check my phone messaging inbox. But I see no SMS sending from my end to TURKEY. I only receive system message notification from different company. So, I went back and check the statement again. The bill was totally not reasonable. It was 433 SMS, 8 pages and total cost me RM216.50. After that, I called to Digi customer service for verification. They said will revert to me after investigation. They did call back me and I am so happy about the service as the customer service office said that it might be a virus and the transaction of the bill is very suspicious. The SMS sent out average every 3-4 seconds. The officer suggest me that to reformat my phone and also they said will call back me between 2-5 days for another solution. Then I waited.... I am so happy that this bill statement might be possible chance to revise and I still let my friend know about Digi service and how awesome is the team. After few days, they did called. I guess I am busy at that time so I missed the call. Today, I called back again to confirm how was the status of the bill. I am so disappointed that the customer officer told me that their team investigate that this is a genuine transaction. If i did not pay and then my service will get barred on 31st March. It was totally no sense at all. I do not even make this transaction how am I going to pay this amount. And it was a big amount which is totally did not make any sense. It was a 8 pages and 433 SMS which cost me RM216.50. If this is a transaction that I made I will be willing to pay all of it but this is not even any of my transaction that I have did it. i called and complain 2 times...email complain... went to the service center complain. They still said they do not want to wave anything. However the service center officer told me that the branch boss will give me a 30% to clear my bill which is RM60++. But then I still will pay around RM150++ Digi, after I clear all these. I will say bye bye to you. And hello celcom ! |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Apr 8 2016, 05:24 PM) East Malaysia rely a lot on their mobile data as the network infrastructure for wired broadband is not that good over there. Not surprising if telcos want to capture more market share over there. Also according to my East Malaysian friends maxis is slow to the party over there. Their share is meniscule compared to DiGi and Celcom |
