I corresponded directly via email with Varmilo through their representative named Miya. Unfortunately, Miya has recently left them. Not sure who has since taken over from her but you could try mailto:zhh22@zhihaihe.cn

Is your Varmilo mechanical keyboard wireless?

Nope, mine is VA87M, detachable mini USB cable. For wireless, the model is VB87M, Bluetooth 4.0

Thanks for clarification.

I am trying to get a wireless mechanical keyboard for my home setup.

How was it compare to the old keyboard, want to get 1 too,but not sure is it worth it.

My experience switching from Logitech Keyboard to Mechanical Keyboard.

Once you go mechanical, you never go back.

My favourite cherry MX switch is brown, I have 4 Cherry MX brown keyboards from Filco, Ducky and Coolermaster.

I also have a Topre Realforce keyboard for work.

So from ur experience  what the best brand to buy for starter, or a cheap mechanical keyboard will do?
*
My personal preference for gaming is as follows:

1. Filco (more solid)
2. Ducky / Coolermaster

For typing only:

1. Realforce Topre
2. Filco
3. Ducky / Coolermaster.

I don't like to game on Realforce Topre.

Frankly, I think Ducky should be fine.

Seriously, can anyone tell me what's so great about Filco? They are basically featureless with a high price tag. Man, I love mine to death.
*
For me, Filco was my first mechanical keyboard and it felt more solid compared to other brands.

I went with Ducky as it was cheaper though I sometimes feel the keys are a bit mushy.

I was just wondering what backplate does Filco uses, they make the crispiest clack I've ever heard.
*
Some of the keys on Filco makes a ping sound when typing.

Feels like some old type-writer. My dad is using the Filco keyboard (brown switch) these days. That keyboard is around 5 years old or older.

Topre "thock" sound is noisy even in Type-S / Silence series.  sweat.gif

QUOTE(ntw @ Aug 15 2016, 11:17 PM)
no, Topre is actually noisier than PCB-mounted linear switches. with modification though, silenced Topre would be the most silent.
*
Hmmm, perhaps.

I was comparing to my brown switches keyboards. I can only use my topre keyboard at work. Brown switches will affect my other colleagues (well until I get my own room in the next 1-2 years time).

Brown still too "noisy"? You bottom out when typing izzit? You could try installing thick O-rings to dampen some of the noise.
*
I always bottom out typing even on my Topre keyboard.

I can no longer use membrane keyboards or touch keyboards after using mechanical keyboards.

I tend to avoid these keyboards whenever possible.

Just bought a 2 port USB switcher for my office.

Now I can use my full-size Realforce Topre keyboard for my work and my phone with a press of a button.

I have just ordered a Corsair Lapdog from Amazon. It will take awhile to get here.

Will get the Corsair K70 keyboard with brownswitch. Anything that I should be aware of for this keyboard?

Thanks.
