Just went to Ultimate zone yesterday and friend picked up a K70 lux with browns. Aside from the non-standard layout. the rest of it seems solid.
It comes with 2 USB connector (1 is for the USB passthrough I think) and those thick ass cable can be trouble as I like to route the cable through the hole I drilled on my desk.
*
How much did he pay for Corsair K70 Lux?

I will most likely go wit hthe non-RGB one as I am not particular with the colour as long as it is blue or white. Should be fine.

QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 27 2016, 07:39 AM)
Only thing I can think of is to make sure you connect to a USB 3 port on your PC
*
Thanks, I will ensure I do that. It will be connected to Corsair Lapdog and the hub inside of Corsair Lapdog is USB3.0. I think it will work fine.

I am curious how Kailh switches and Gateron switches stack up against cherry mx.

I am still looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard for my living room.

IMO, Gateron > Cherry MX > Kailh

4 days left on MassDrop.

What are the differences between Gateron vs Cherry MX?

Thanks.

He got it for RM579 for the RGB version. Not sure if the store sells non-RGB version. You can get non-RGB off Lazada for RM379 (RM429 - RM50 voucher), pretty good deal. But only red LEDS I think.
*
Thanks, looks like I will have to go with the RGB version as the non-RGB version has red LEDs only.

Planning to get the Logitech G900 to go along with this keyboard and the Corsair Lapdog.

Will sell one of my mechanical keyboards off. Probably one of the duckies.

I have been using the G900 for a bit now and have to say I'm loving it. Battery life is very decent at ~30 hours per full charge but of course, I have the LED logo lighting switched off (its under my palm all the time, where got time to look at it?). Recharge rate is also very fast!
*
Where did you get it from?

Most retailers are selling it for RM699. I was hoping to get them below RM600.

Damn. You're making me feel like picking up a VB87M. How's the keycaps? Are they as thick as the pok3r?
The G900 is a definite go man. I've been using it for about 2 months. Performance wise, I can't tell a difference between a G502 and G900. Never encountered any disconnection aside from drained battery. I can attest as well that the battery life is great for a performance mouse. Mine is with LED @ 50% brightness. Polling rate 125hz for normal task and 1000hz for gaming. Not sure the exact hours but it last me about 1.5 weeks with daily short gaming hours.

You can get it at 480+ on Lazada after the UNITE100 voucher discount. biggrin.gif
*
Thanks, already ordered mine from Lazada Malaysia.

Also, ordered a Corsair K70 Lux RGB brown switch. Now just need to wait for Corsair Lapdog to arrive from America.

Just bought a Filco Minila with brownswitch and bluetooth along with a bluetooth adapter from Lazada.

It will take some time to be delivered to my home.

Yeah saw a few reviews about it. It's only USD 99.00 tempted to pick one up and order a few switches off Taobao. But those red LEDs...
Honestly, those are the quietest switches but also the scratchiest switches I've ever tried. IIRC, silent switches are linear switches, tactile feedback refer to the "bumps" you get on switches like blue and brown.
Is it overseas shipping? Wonder if the minila is good enough for traveling jobs.
*
I think it is as it will only arrive at 11 September to 17 September.

I would think that it would be good for my home setup when I am tired with Corsair Lapdog and for travelling. It is not exactly light (ie. 1.2kg).

I probably will have to sell off one of my mechanical keyboards.

I have a surplus of one.

Currently, have one for each computer and two for my work station in office and at home.

Just tested out the Corsair K70 RGB Lux, quite a big keyboard.

I am having trouble just setting the lights to a single colour and static lighting only.

Will learn to use the software again later.

Just drag your mouse and select all the keys... and then assign color...

Or you can click on individual keys and assign color....

Using the CUE software right?
*
Oh ok, that make sense, will try it when I get back.

My first impression of the Corsair K70 brown switches keyboard:

1. Very mushy
2. Tactile feel not as apparent as Filco or even Ducky and Coolermaster's variant.
3. Backspace key is noisy and doesn't really feel like brown switch at all.

I think gaming-oriented brands dampens their mechboards. I think the CM Masterkeys Pro S has the most dampened keys of all.
Anyway guys, anyone interested in my Ducky One TKL RGB with Reds? Only few months old, wanna change to brown switch. Can trade with same model of brown switches.
*
The old Coolermaster Quickfire was pretty good.

Only bought this to use with my Corsair Lapdog later.

Some parts of the keyboard still ok but the backspace and spacebar are absolutely horrible.

QUOTE(richard912 @ Sep 6 2016, 06:40 PM)
Go MX clear or Topre for more tactility without the mushiness thumbup.gif
*
Yeah should have go with MX clear.

Unfortunately, Topre won't be able to fit into the Corsair Lapdog which I have ordered.

I don't think I will use this as my daily driver.

You can use o-rings to dampen the switches.
