Hi guys, after 2 years with Cherry Blues, I have decided that I hate them (I just like sound it makes). Therefore, anyone interested with my Filco Convertible 2?

Besides, any good brown TKL board to recommend? Preferable with white LEDs. Thanks!

I don't know man. I think i have weak fingers, i even find blues too stiff. Brown are best for me. I wonder if I should try Topre.

Try red before?

Yeah man. Wonder if I should go Red since I already have a Brown board at office. I'm selling the convertible because of the input lag on bluetooth while playing CS GO.

blues are good mang.
i like them so much until i like my linear switch with mx blue's spring.

the clicky feel and sound is the one that makes me on form when typing lol!
*
I feel you man. Those crispy clicky sounds it makes. But it's too stiff for me. I wish they have something like Brown or Red with clicky sound.

Hey guys, just read the front page that Rapid-i was well recommended for TKL. Any reasons?

Hi guys, I wonder if there's any thoughts about the MK Disco TKL? What about the KBT switches?

I personally own a DISCO KBT blue switch. Feels different from cherries. feels slightly stiffer (did not actually measure). No experience in other KBT  switches thou.

Mind letting me know how much you paid for the keyboard? I wanted to get one with Red switches but the shipping is a problem.

The MK Disco is quite generic in terms of design, akin to CM and Ducky One TKL albeit with KB switch, which I believe is Gateron clone. In any case if you are looking for a TKL RGB with that kind of design, wait for CM Masterkeys Pro S or Ducky One RGB TKL. They should be hitting our stores sometime next month. Take note though that there's a world wide shortage currently for MX blue RGB switches so there may not be many, if any, blue MX switch ones initially. Reds and browns should be available.
*
Ducky One RGB TKL? That's gonna hurt their Shine 5 sales man. Mind sharing the links about the details as I couldn't Google them.
Anyway, CM Masterkeys requires drivers to work guess thats not for me.

NO WAY! DONE. THAT'S IT. I'M GONNA GET IT.
Btw, I wonder what's the difference between this and Shine 5, aside from the size, obviously.

The base should be different shape I guess. BTW, its up on Ducky TW's website now.
*
Hmm. After comparing both on the website. Like you said, the shape is different, the shine 5 has larger bezel and brushed aluminium-like plastic. Shine 5 has dual double layer PCB. thats all. At least from what I see on the website. Lightning colours and effect looks similar. Wonder how much it'll be priced here.

QUOTE(yzkoo @ Apr 29 2016, 09:48 AM)
AFAIK, MasterKeys's software is OPTIONAL. Everything can be done using hardware (except macro??) Should be a better choice since its using SMD LED for that even shine. I'm quite sure that ONE TKL RGB will be using conventional 4 pin LED since my DISCO has the same thing (SAME OEM)

I would have prefered masterkeys but when i was looking for a TKL RGB and that time there's only MK DISCO or K65 RGB(UGH)
*
Just read a few reviews and yes the software driver is indeed optional, a huge plus! I saw a demo video on YouTube and the colour doesn't look as vibrant as the one on Corsair strafe and k65. I wonder when and how much it is the Pro S will be launched. I've never tried a TKL board before, I don't know if I'll miss the numpad.

Once you go TKL, there's no turning back. You will enjoy your less cluttered workspace. My transition from full layout to TKL was made easier because I mostly work from a notebook..

Price wise, I believe should be circa RM500. Both expected to hit your favorite store's shelf in May. Masterkey Pro S base should be the same one as the other CM TKL bases. As for Ducky One TKL, should be slightly smaller
*
That's what I thought. I already have a full size brown Filco at work so I think I'll be better off with a TKL at home as I will be gaming more than typing.

If it's around RM500 then I'll grab it right away. Until then, patience is all I need now.

Hey guys, will the Cherry MX switches break in over time? I'm sick of the inconsistency of Cherry switches.

I have owned 2 Filcos (Blue and Brown) and 1 Ducky (Blue). I love the the Browns and Blues on the Filcos whereas the Blues on the Ducky are stiff as hell. Borrowed another Razer BW with Blues (Cherry ones) from a friend and they felt lighter and smoother. Now, I just bought a Cooler Master Pro S with Reds but these feels like a freaking Black switch to me. Felt mushy while bottoming out. It's another totally different experience when I type on my friend's K70 with reds. Maybe it's the backplate? I wonder if I should pick up a G810 with Romer-G switches and say bye bye to Cherry.

Damn. sad.gif

If I'm not wrong, mx blue has quite a lot of problems these days and some inconsistency problem.
On the red switch, maybe you need aren't used to the lighter actuation force yet? Use it for a few more days and you probably will get used to it.
If not, just get a TOPRE!
*
I don't know man. These Reds feels super stiff compare to other Reds I've tried. Besides, Cherry stabiliser is a freaking abomination. The Space-bar that came with it couldn't fit into the stabiliser. It pop out if I hit it on the side. Topre is gonna burn my wallet if I'm up for it. besides . I have not tried a Topre before. Anywhere that I can try it?

To me, unclipped cherry stabiliser really sucks, I prefer costar more than everything.
I'm not from KL, but I think maybe Lowyat got a few shops got sample to try it out?
*
I have not seen any shop putting on sample to try, in PJ At least. My first keyboard was a Ducky Shine 3 and I never thought how bad it was until I moved to Filco and that consistent typing feel across the board blew me away. Kinda regret I get the Pro S with these cherry stabs. Damn RGB hype. I'm getting a G810.

Has anyone bought a masterkeys pro s? I got mine with red switch. The switches on the unit i got is kinda mushy while bottoming out and it has a popped out spacebar. I ranted it hard on Reddit till the moderator approach me for a replacement. Complained the same to the seller. Its been almost a month. No replies from both parties. Wonder if anyone experience the same problem. Sigh.

If you bought this from a shop locally, you can always get them to RMA for you. "Better" shops will give you a one-to-one exchange on the spot if they have stock. If however you bought this online from overseas, good luck...
*
I bought it from a local store. They check the rest of the stocks. All of them has the popped space-bar. Sigh. Lousy QC Dear CM. Did not tell them about the mushy keys though, I think they'll come back like "no la, it feels like same". Will reflect to them on the next visit. Shoulda went with Vb87m with gaterons instead. Any vb87m owners here? Wonder hows the Bluetooth connection? Read that it needs to be re-paired on each windows startup. What about latency?

Thus far, very happy with my Ducky One TKL RGB. Having tried Kailh, MX red and MX blue, am loving the MX brown of the new Ducky I got. I guess will tutup kedai from buying new MKB until a TKL RGB Topre becomes available.

Am putting up my CM QFR-I (MX red) and KBT Race 2 (MX blue) for sale before the home minister bising about me being a hoarder
