It depends on what is your priority.

If you install at front, the fans on the radiator will take fresh air into the radiator, CPU will be cooler while the rest of the components will suffer due to the increased heat dissipated from the cooler.

If you install on top, the radiator will suck hot air out of the case, CPU will get those warm air while the rest of the components will be cooler.

Since the Radiator has 2x 120mm i make it 1 push and 1 is pull method. what you think?

This might create strange/negative airflow biggrin.gif

BTW Kraken X61 is 2 x 140mm.

Actually you don't have to worry so much on this, the difference in delta temperature is just few °C for intake/exhaust radiator setup.

You can go for push and pull setup on radiator too, just like what we can do with air cooler now.

Just get 2 more 140mm casing fans and install on the other side of the radiator which doesn't have fans installed by default.

I think it's better to pull if you're lazy to clean it in the future. The push method will also push dust onto the radiator making it stuck there. Unless your rig's having a really good positive airflow(which doesn't suck dust into the casing), you're better off with the pull-method.

The H440 Case front has 3x140mm with dust filter do you think will still cause lots of dust or lesser? And im not really sure bottom has slot for me to install fans to pull air in.

If install on top then most likely not enough clearance, front still possible.

Hi Terrence, I've been outdated with hardware for a very long time. Would like your recommendation to get a new rig.

[Budget] No Specific Budget. Prefer as low as possible.

[Purpose] 24/7 Daily Usage and Dota 2 at Max Settings @ 2560x1600

[Monitor resolution] 30-inch, 2560x1600

Please suggest me pc cooling and casing as well.

Thanks!

Intel Core i5 6400 - RM 782
Gigabyte H110M-DS2 (D4) - RM 289
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 162
Palit GTX950 2GB GDDR5 StormX - RM 699
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Tecware Alpha Black - RM 219

Total: RM 2554 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

The case comes with 2 front intake fans and 1 rear exhaust fan, so I don't think you need to buy extra casing fan anymore, unless you want to add another 2 more exhaust fans on top.

You can downgrade to i3 6100 (RM 487) to save money if your usage is light/moderate, i3 is more than enough to handle Dota 2, I included i5 in the list mainly because I am not sure how's your daily usage pattern since you didn't mention them in your post.

SSD is not included.

My daily usage is just online and downloading. That's about it, so necessary to downgrade or just keep it as per suggested?

Thanks a lot.

Can downgrade, i3 is sufficient for your usage.

Hi guys. Planning to get one extra casing fan which is the Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000, but I am not sure if I should get the PWM or non-PWM fan.

Any sifus can shine some light here??

Placement: Top-rear
AIO: CM Seldon 120V (top)
Configuration: Exhaust. NOT pull-push, plan to put it beside the AIO's radiator/fan
Case: CM Mastercase PRO 5.
Mobo: Gigabyte Z170-HD3P

Thanks!

edit: Does PWM adjust the fan speed according to the temp?

Guys, can you recommend a rig for working purpose? My friend's printing jerseys so he want a right to choose his fonts and etc on. His budget is only under RM1.5k tho. For a full rig including a monitor. Much appreciated

Hi guys any recommendation on a DDR4 rig?

[Budget] No Specific Budget. Prefer as low as possible.

[Purpose] 24/7 Daily Usage for DDR4 DRAM testing (work)

Will be solely used for DDR4 testing so its the top priority. =)
As far as I know, only skylake i7 and x99 chipset supports ddr4 ram. Correct me if im wrong.

Normally the mobo will reduce the speed of the fan when temperature is low, PWM fan can also be controlled using 3rd party software like Corsair Link (require Corsair Commandar Hub or selected Corsair AIO Liquid Cooler) and SpeedFan.

If this is not useful for you then non-PWM 3-pin casing fan is enough, it is cheaper as well.

If you plan to get a fan controller in the future, then you don't have to get PWM fan since the controller can control the speed of non-PWM fan by adjusting the voltage supplied to it.
