QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Mar 22 2016, 10:17 PM) TBH GTX980 isn't worth to get anymore with its current market price, better top up a bit for GTX980Ti or swap to the stronger R9 390X/Fury. Intel Core i7 6700 - RM 1284 Gigabyte H170-HD3 (D4) - RM 486 Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 162 Palit GTX980 4GB GDDR5 Jetstream - RM 2389 Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 209 WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215 Seasonic M12II EVO 620W - RM 363 Tecware Alpha Black - RM 219 BenQ GW2470H - RM 589 Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 63 Total: RM 5979 (ETech price inclusive of GST) Optional upgrade/build: 1. Sapphire R9 390X 8GB GDDR5 Tri-X OC - RM 1945 2. Palit GTX980Ti 6GB GDDR5 Super Jetstream - RM 3109 (Require top up) QUOTE(marcussimmj @ Mar 23 2016, 06:59 AM) What you could do is get the rest of the components which your budgets allows and use the processors iGPU for the time being as the next generation of cards will be dropping sometime soon in about 4 months based on speculation. That way you won't be salty when you realise a new card has been released in the same price bracket performs if not better. Thank you for the suggestions! |

I want to upgrade my rig. But im not sure other amd processor that can fit into my current MB (GIGABYTE 970a-DS3P).
My rig details: Processor - AMD FX-6300 GPU - GeForce GTX650 1gb DDR5 RAM - 8gb 1600mhz PSU - 450watts And what could i do more to improve my game graphic to the max for DOTA2? Now i can only make it into 50% of full graphics only. And when i do to max, my fps drops until <50% Thanks for your replies. Cheers! ✌🏻️ |

FYI AM3+ socket is dead, the highest end CPU your mobo can support is FX8370, which I don't recommend you to upgrade from your current FX6300, better wait for new Zen FX CPU which is going to be released later this year.New GPU from Nvidia and AMD is also coming soon, if you can wait, I suggest you to wait, if not later when you find out you are actually paying the same price as the upcoming products but with weaker performance, you gonna |

Ouch! So if im going to upgrade the best amd cpu,gpu which 1 your recommend build? Because i dont have much money to spend into i5/i7 rig. I heard that amd is much cheaper to compare with intel and can get almost the same speed and everything They aren't equal in terms of performance even they (Intel vs AMD) have same speed/core.FX (Bulldozer) series CPU is using modules with 2 integer cores in each modules as "core", it is excel in those software/games which make use of it, but a dual core i3 can beat the highest end of FX series CPU in game if the game is operating in single threaded way. Your CPU is ok for modern gaming, just upgrade the GPU and PSU for the time being. AMD R9 390 and a decent 600W PSU will cost you around 2k+/-. |

Recently i just purchased NZXT H440 Case and realized this case has limited air flow systems , few questions to ask :
1. Which CPU cooler is best for i5-6600 Processor with this case? with best air flow systems possible. (Budget below RM 800, No water cooling) 2. In H440 Casing, Which Air flow setup is more suitable? |

RM 800 can get high end AIO water cooler already, if you are going for air cooler, no need RM 800. i5 6600 is a locked CPU (or did you use the Skylake non-K exploit to oc it?), any sub-RM 200+/- air cooler will do the cooling job just fine like CM Hyper 212X or Cryorig H7 or H5 Ultimate. |

QUOTE(Michael_Lee @ Mar 23 2016, 05:11 PM) If High End AIO Water Cooler what will you suggest ? Difference is quite significant, I tested i5 4460 few months ago with Corsair Hydro H100i and CM Hyper 212X.And any really big difference compared to air cooled with this CPU? H100i is able to keep the CPU < 40°C all the time when during max load compared to 212X's ~55°C, 55°C is still a very good reading though considering the weather in Malaysia is so hot. If you are willing to spend so much just to get the extra ~15°C, then go for H100i V2 for 240L, H115/NZXT Kraken X61 for 280L, the rig looks nicer too with AIO liquid cooler |

QUOTE(Michael_Lee @ Mar 23 2016, 05:28 PM) It depends on what is your priority. If you install at front, the fans on the radiator will take fresh air into the radiator, CPU will be cooler while the rest of the components will suffer due to the increased heat dissipated from the cooler. If you install on top, the radiator will suck hot air out of the case, CPU will get those warm air while the rest of the components will be cooler. |
