Okay thanks. Just afraid that it might not be enough to keep the CPU cool.

Same mobo may tolerate it, some will have to undervolt to work, some won't work at all.

The best would be buying the exact same model of RAM.

BUT........ I think need to upgrade PSU aswell because with current PSU, its very hard to do cable management with that small size casing doh.gif sweat.gif

change to full modular PSU might solve this?

Can recommend cheapest possible within 400 budget? smile.gif

Congrats on your new build, RM 400 can get Seasonic M12II EVO 520W or 620W (more upgrade room).

It is PITA to do cable management with non-modular PSU in ITX build tongue.gif

Terrence Pls share your best rig.. Budget is 10k now I am also looking at 980ti but not sure if it'll help as I am not into gaming but i want the best card to support 4k down the road in 3 years

Most important is when i open say photoshop, dreamweaver, visual studio, evernote, multiple excels and words.. many chrome tabs.. it wont lag.. no lag at all is most important.

I run ocassionally four windows with 10-20 chrome tabs open.

Please suggest.

TBH GTX980 isn't worth to get anymore with its current market price, better top up a bit for GTX980Ti or swap to the stronger R9 390X/Fury.

Intel Core i7 6700 - RM 1284
Gigabyte H170-HD3 (D4) - RM 486
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 162
Palit GTX980 4GB GDDR5 Jetstream - RM 2389
Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 209
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Seasonic M12II EVO 620W - RM 363
Tecware Alpha Black - RM 219
BenQ GW2470H - RM 589
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 63

Total: RM 5979 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

Optional upgrade/build:
1. Sapphire R9 390X 8GB GDDR5 Tri-X OC - RM 1945
2. Palit GTX980Ti 6GB GDDR5 Super Jetstream - RM 3109 (Require top up)

Not all software will use GPU as hardware accelerator FYI, some of them use GPU VRAM to store image/video data while some of them don't use at all during rendering.

The difference between 5820K and 5930K is just the max PCI-E lanes supported increased to 40 in 5930K which is required for 3/4-way SLI/CF setup (or when you need more PCI-E x16/x8 slots), this is not useful in your case, you can also overclock the 5820K to match what 5930K is offering manually, they both are hexa core CPU.

Intel Core i7 5820K - RM 1680
MSI X99A Raider - RM 940
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (8GB x 4) DDR4 3000MHz RAM - RM 1260
Zotac GTX980Ti 6GB GDDR5 AMP! - RM 2999
Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 229
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 225
CM V750 - RM 559
Corsair Hydro H100i V2 - RM 508
Tecware Alpha White - RM 199
Dell P2415Q UHD - RM 1930

Total: RM 10529 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

What you could do is get the rest of the components which your budgets allows and use the processors iGPU for the time being as the next generation of cards will be dropping sometime soon in about 4 months based on speculation. That way you won't be salty when you realise a new card has been released in the same price bracket performs if not better.
