I have a tendency to even buy a figure that i know nothing of the origins of the character. It's all down to whether i like the figure or not, simple as that.

orchid seed elf shouldn't be too expensive i think. quality not as good as gsc dark elf actually. but they look good posed together.

i actually thought the dark elf could be thicker in some place lol, but i guess that's personal taste.

yup the shading is too extreme for the lancer. she looks like she has a combination rash and sunburn. but pose and sculpt is good. plus not over sexy so can display in public.
and if bored can pose her without the skirt XD

i think the older figure for lineage 2 especially elf looks better than this iimm.

Then again I'm not too particular, just need a few figure to fill up some display place that's bare... I could fill it up with whiskey.. but that'll be 4~500 per bottle anyway...

So far, my experience with Mandarake has been good...Pretty good place to find preowned figures, but plenty of new ones too...Word of caution though, the item description can be very vague...One time, I got one with the description Opened/box damaged...There was a pretty large and visible stain on the figure when I received it...An eraser did the trick though, but you'd expect something like that to be included in the description...It was a one time thing, and I've bought a few more since then, no issues...Overall, trustworthy...

the problem with dark general to me is how her head appears detached and seemingly floats above her body. otherwise she does have a nice dynamic pose and impressively detailed armour/weapon.

Garage Kits, which is kinda DIY figurines. The link I posted is for the prepainted section (most of their product were actually unpainted). The company (the owner of the site) basically recast(occasionally there are some original designs) garage kits (from event such as Wonderfest etc) and sell it. You could find some figures that never made it to mass production.

Infact some of them look very nice indeed... the most attractive part is the price.. wow.... easily 50% cheaper.

This company E2046.... reputable? Its form HK... shipping fees also much cheaper.

Most of them are uncoloured. You have to colour them yourself.

Erm if you see the price is cheaper, most probably is the unpainted version. You need to see whether it stated "prepainted" there or not. The prepainted version easily costed more than original. Anyway the point I posted the website is for you to check more on the figure that were not available as normal/limited prepainted figurines. Support original la bro

Saves for those in the link I posted. Basically figurines under Gathering section of the site is painted GK (the other prepainted section is the PVC); the rest of their product are unpainted.

If its same price as the ori... why not buy the ori?! Unless its totally rare and you cannot find it... but then still pointless to collect a copy even if its rare isnt it?

The site does have lots of fantasy-themed figurines that are not available as pvc figure, hence why I posted it (since you are looking for one). Quite off-topic because it is not considered as Japanese Vinyl and Figures (as per the topic title)
