after passing the RAE, what other things need to be done? and what does it mean by "the sketch of aerial(s) to be used"? Anybody got examples? And if one is to apply for the callsign, without owning the radio himself is that possible? what form(s) should be filled then?

Left your radio/antenna/setup empty .. they're not needed for amateur application..

so, what youre saying is that i only need to fill in the callsign application form, the 9M recommendation and the statutory declaration? without filling the application for apparatus assignment(s) form?

Nope, you need to fill in the Apparatus Assignment form, only Sect 1, 2, 6 & 7 + all requested attachments minus the sketch of ariel .. 3,4,5 are for applying a specific AA for repeaters etc.

Yes .. they will .. and they look out of place on a sedan smile.gif A quarter wave doesn't look out of place in many cars .. Unless for sure, you want to 'tayang' that you've the license (tho from my experience, hams tend to put their callsigns to be seen MILES away .. hehehe). If you're travelling around the city alot, then quarter wave should be just fine..
