The xigmatek fan spec looks good. Maybe you can give it a try.

QUOTE(ImAintNerd @ Aug 24 2012, 11:44 PM) hello guys... from this two models of fans. can u help me to choose the best fans for my intake and p/p setup for my 212+ cooler... Go for the Xigmatex, no comment about the spec but it'll be easier to clean compared to the compact fins of the Aerocool shark lolz... why not Artic F12 PWM??a) AEROCOOL Shark Fan Blue Edition or b) XIGMATEK XAF F1252 |

As for light cathode I'm not so sure. AFAIK it generate heat thus may increase temp. I played bf3 and other similar games my temp is around 80-90 degrees & I used xigmatek gaia with AC f12 pwm push pull. I'm not sure about my room temp but it is quite hot & humid. Do I need to change the fans to the ones like GT or san aces? Mine is cm690 2 plus. |

I suggested these two since it does not have sleeve bearing thus suitable for use as top fans. you can find his name at garage sales. 3) IMO, I don't think it's good. if you want that kind of setup I suggest you get a H80 or H100 instead. of course YMMV. |

Here's some articles about fan bearings. the 212 evo reviews sound good..might gonna get 1 & attach 1 more fan to it.. what fans are used on it? might as well change em to XIGMATEK XAF F1253 or CM Xtraflo 12 basics of fan bearings ball vs sleeve bearing another ball vs sleeve bearing article AFAIK, sleeve bearings when mounted as top fan, the lubricant will not be able to lubricate the bearing since it isn't sealed thus will shorten the life of the fan. OTOH other bearing other than sleeve might have some kind of sealing so that the bearing will stay lubricated even when mounted as top fan. if you want push pull setup, might as well get the cm xtraflow 120 red but you might need pwm splitter cable lol. |
