The xigmatek fan spec looks good. Maybe you can give it a try.

hello guys... from this two models of fans. can u help me to choose the best fans for my intake and p/p setup for my 212+ cooler...

a) AEROCOOL Shark Fan Blue Edition or
b) XIGMATEK XAF F1252
*
Go for the Xigmatex, no comment about the spec but it'll be easier to clean compared to the compact fins of the Aerocool shark lolz... why not Artic F12 PWM??

CPU running hot even if its cooled by the H60?? makes me think my 212+ is a great bargain...

anyway is this always happening?? and how hot is it exactly??
before you start replacing them fans, I suggest that you clean the dust off of the radiator and fans and see if there are any improvements smile.gif

just a heads up: Performance fans doesn't usually comes with LEDs nod.gif

actually it's brand new, no dust la... no more than 2 weeks old...
previously with the intel stock cooler, wenever im playin game, prototype 2, future soldier, max payne 2, you know the type of game that would actually make the cpu hot,
asus ai suite never make any warning, that suggest it's ok, i think la..

but after i installed h60, every game, everything i do, asus ai suite keeps popping these warning that the temp it had gone over 60'c...

my casing is cm690 2 advanced

which is better then, to light up my casing with fan led or use led strip/ light cathode?

maybe you can disable or adjust that asus ai suite?

for lighting I prefer led strip because I believe it will last longer than fan led. As for light cathode I'm not so sure. AFAIK it generate heat thus may increase temp.

I played bf3 and other similar games my temp is around 80-90 degrees & I used xigmatek gaia with AC f12 pwm push pull. I'm not sure about my room temp but
it is quite hot & humid. Do I need to change the fans to the ones like GT or san aces?

Mine is cm690 2 plus.

1)CM 212 evo should be fine, or this. Got dual fan some more. Spire dual fan cpu cooler

2)Either Enermax TB silence LED or Enermax TB appolish, take your pick. I suggested these two since it does not have sleeve bearing thus suitable for use as top fans. you can find his name at garage sales.

3) IMO, I don't think it's good. if you want that kind of setup I suggest you get a H80 or H100 instead. of course YMMV.

thanks mate. can u explain the relation of sleeve bearings fan vs non sleeve usage as top fan?

the 212 evo reviews sound good..might gonna get 1 & attach 1 more fan to it.. what fans are used on it? might as well change em to XIGMATEK XAF F1253 or CM Xtraflo 12

Here's some articles about fan bearings.

basics of fan bearings

ball vs sleeve bearing

another ball vs sleeve bearing article

AFAIK, sleeve bearings when mounted as top fan, the lubricant will not be able to lubricate the bearing since it isn't sealed thus will shorten the life of the fan. OTOH other bearing other than sleeve might have some kind of sealing so that the bearing will stay lubricated even when mounted as top fan.

if you want push pull setup, might as well get the cm xtraflow 120 red but you might need pwm splitter cable lol.

Not sure if you looked before ngbh thread. For exhaust, why not get a 200mm fan? laugh.gif
