been reading this thread (back 10 pages lol) and I notice if its 140mm fans Xigmatex seems to be top of the list.. So aesthetically does the fan looks nice? and is it quiet compared to.. lets say... the stock CM 140mm fan in the CM690II? currently looking at options to actually make my Rig looks nice

Hi everyone, I wanna go and get 140mm led fans (blue fins) this weekend and I'm thinking to go for the Xigmatex XLF series of that size.
I know its a good fan but are there any other good choices?? I'm going for the standard blue theme |

QUOTE(humongousgravy @ Nov 14 2011, 10:56 PM) Hi guys I want to ask where can i buy wire mesh for use as dust filter? I saw some 120mm ones for sale here, but what I need is for a 220mm fan so I'm hoping to get some mesh and make them myself. Any idea where can I get them nice meshes? if u plan to DIY then ur options are limitless... mesh wires are normally found in hardware shops in a variety of sizes |

QUOTE(jsshay @ Nov 25 2011, 03:29 PM) hi guys, need few advice here, i hv corsair 650d all stock fans (2x20cm front n top, 1x12cm rear). i hv cm212+ stock fan and hd 6950 ref gc. Replace them with the F12 i very much like to address the noise level down a bit and thinking or changing the 212+ stock fan, as i think it gives some louder noise than the other fans. some folks here sell arctic f12 and one person sell gelid wing 12, which is good to replace the stock with price consideration ofcoz another thing, r the corsair 20cm stock fan good performance/noise wise? cos i know jack about fans (bought the case cos it look good) so, how do i turn down the noise I thought the 650D have a built in fan speed switch?? |

QUOTE(sarungman @ Nov 29 2011, 09:42 PM) i have strike-x GT case and i'd like to attach 12cm and 14cm fans to all possible slots on it. Is Aerocool shark fan good enough as intake and exhaust fan? Also can you suggest me good fan to assist my hyper tx3 (push pull)? Aerocool shark fans looks good with the lights on and the push quite a lot of air but they're very noisy without the adaptor... with the adaptor however the lights are a bit dim but it still push a generous amount of air.. if u want bling.. go for it.. otherwise choose a quiet fan TX3... 92mm fans are pretty generic in the local market... just leave it alone with one fan cause u will see about 1C improvement only in it |

QUOTE(BenSow @ Dec 6 2011, 04:52 PM) Guys don't know if this is the right place but also gotta do with fans... Isit higher RPM is better for CPU fans? I know the hihger rpm then more noise.. but performance? QUOTE(lun1986 @ Dec 6 2011, 05:15 PM) while its true that a fan that spins faster generates more airflow, it doesn't necessary means better performance... if u wanna take a high airflow fan as an exhaust/intake fan there is still the noise to deal with.. a good fan will have a good balance of noise/cfm/rpm IMHO and if ur looking at mounting a fan to a heatsink u will need to consider another factor... the static pressure so I'd say that the "performance" of a fan could be differentiated by their usages in the PC and sometimes a good fan for exhaust/intake is not necessarily good for HSF/rad |

Ulysses - don't bother, the F12 PWM has PST header.. u can still plug in another fan on the wired extension off from the F12 PWM
![]() u can daisy chain all ur F12 PWM fans this way Added on December 21, 2011, 12:46 pmGuys, I'm thinking of replacing my dual XLF1454 (140mm blue-fin-White LED) with another quieter option (full speed from molex) if possible with LED lightings... any recommendations?? QUOTE(NecroPhilia @ Jan 9 2012, 09:52 PM) u may go along the line of Noctua and Noise Blockers though these will cost a lot to attain... easilly RM60+ each.. LYN's champ is Artic Cooling F12 Added on January 10, 2012, 1:57 pm QUOTE(XXAaronXOXO @ Jan 9 2012, 11:33 PM) can anyone recommand me a good/longlasting case fan?(without LED) 90mm fans are kinda hard to distinguish cause its not widely available in the market.... not much choice for 80mm as well sadly.. only can find CM fans mostlyim using CoolerMaster 343 casing. for rear fan nid 90mm,side need 90mm/80mm. budget under rm40 U may wanna order in the Artic cooling F9 if ur desperate for a good fan... no idea whats the price gonna be This post has been edited by Clem1982: Jan 10 2012, 01:57 PM |

QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ Feb 3 2012, 06:50 PM) But we should be glad that they at least had some sense of aesthetic and chose white blade and black frame, instead of whatever color Noctua chose +1 however no one is bringing the f9 and f8 versions to the local market... those using hyper tx3 are half crying (like my sis) for a quieter solution without spending too much |

QUOTE(bardshah92 @ Feb 8 2012, 05:11 PM) Between the 2 120mm I'd pick the AC F12 ... should be quieter as the XSF is rated faster and a slightly louder as well... besides.. white bladed fans looks nicer QUOTE is there any nice recommended 120/140 mm LED case fan ? high CFM, noisy a bit nvm U can go with the Aerocool shark fans they are a bit loud without the adaptor |

QUOTE(bardshah92 @ Feb 12 2012, 01:37 AM) Depends on your preference, there are definitely more powerful fans than the F12 but so far I haven't used them as exhausts.. have a Aerocool shark there and dual 140mm XLFs at the top for exhaustsI suggest u give it a try and se for yourself.. but the temps difference will probably be minimal |

QUOTE(speedoom @ Feb 22 2012, 11:13 PM) hello all sifu... Go for it, I suggest using a quiet fan like the AC F12 on the side panel as it may be flimsy and will vibrate when u place a high speed fan therei need ur recommendation for fan configuration. my casing is cap ayam brand only lor.. http://www.avf.com.my/avf.php?c=54&p=71 my plan is 12cm fan intake front 9cm fan exhaust rear..near cpu 12cm fan exhaust side...near cpu or gpu? im using gtx450 |
