tomorrow collect car?  rclxms.gif

even if m3 has lesser noise compare to proton, you will still not like it, why? because you are spending 124k on a japanese C segment yet you get issue that a proton has laugh.gif

is sort of a natural behavior that when we are spending more on something we expect better quality from it

I also hope i dun have that problem when i collect my car on thursday~

NVH is definitely bad compare to other C segment, just enjoy your ride, go redline it once in a while, you sure will love it

If for NVH, during test drive i find it actually ok for me, but test drive is just a short period of time though.
Might need some further testings.

If course it will help, but how much it reduce I'm not sure because I didn't do sound proof

If you wanna go for soundproof you should start with the wheel arch then the doors, or the floor

still a bit unclear.
1. Can i switch from auto to M whenever i want? will this spoil up the gear ?
2. its say if we didnt shift up the gear if it hits redline, after few seconds, it will auto up shift for us?

you can switch between M and D mode anytime you want and it wont spoil the gear

if you are in M mode and it hit redline it will have cut the engine power before redline like a typical manual car, never hit redline with temporary manual in D though

Quite sure you can redline the car lol... not a good experience for those softer drivers and i redlined with temporary manual before, nothing happens, but i usually redline in DM only when im not aware hence first reaction is increase gear, so wouldn't know if they'll auto shift, for full M mode quite sure it won't auto shift for you, but never tried going red line for more than 5 seconds before.. don't see the point lol... horrible NVH makes accidental redlining a horrible experience..

Heads up before trying to redline your vehicles, make sure the car is fully warmed up, and i personally think it's better to leave the car running until your istop goes back working before shutting your car down... Wouldn't know what will happen to the engine, if similar case to diesel cars then die lorh, doubt so but just to be safe

While, personally I din do coating. But my sister car did.

5 years warranty as usual. Accident once, whole backside gone, bring back to re-coat free, just charge normal car wash fees.

Then when get scratchers by bicycle or anything she bring back to the shop, they help her to polish and get rid all those marking for free and charge her with normal car wash money.

So I think, apart from doing coating is good or not, also need to depends service from the dealer.
*
Which brand of coating so good provide free services?

It depends, for coating i think worth doing, as i had 2 cars in my house with Sierra glow coating, really shiny, of course more shiny than a brand new car paint. And not so easy to get dirty compared to cars without coating. And RM 950 you get 5 years warranty, even if you involved in accident, they can free do coating again for max 3 panels of your car. Coating is still extra protection and your car look even nicer. And if do coating, u save more money on polishing.

Just my opinion.

Hmm, what do u mean by max 3 panels of ur car?

Just got my ride like last weekend.. loving it so far! Got used to the iStop mode as well, was kinda worried that I needed to keep off-ing it everytime I drive cause were a lil worried with the iStop feature during heavy traffic to work, though now I'm able to control it without having the iStop kicking in during traffic and the car still on idle mode nicely.

Also wanna ask if anyone knows a good contact for rims spraying? ;3 Trustable + reasonable..

The M3 NVH isn't as bad as it is made out to be. It may be a little higher than average but the story has been amplified as it is retold umpteen times until the NVH is described as truly atrocious. It's the same story with the so-called limited back space which although isn't as good as a Civic is still undeserving of being called awful or terrible. Adults who sit in the backseat of my M3 haven't complained.

Bermaz may have overspecified the HS wih 18" rims and thin performance tyres which lead to more road noise but it's the price you pay for aesthetics and better handling. I drive the GL with 16" rims and I find the NVH to be pretty decent; good enough for me to enjoy music. I've also driven the HS a few times specifically to test the NVH and I don't know what the hoo-ha is all about. It's not as if you are driving an Avanza or Axia but from the comments you would think the HS is worse!
