I still have more than a year of warranty since I got it with extended warranty. So I better not fiddle with the gold contact haha...

I guess I'll start saving up some cash and maybe later I'll get the newer model and sell off the old one. With a year or so still left in my extended warranty, hopefully it can still fetch a good price.

This is what I have done last month, I bought my first ps4 cuh1006 back in February 2014 and been struggle with this problem almost two years and now finally I got myself a new cuh1206 and I can confirm this model already fixed it cause every night I play disc based games almost a month now

As far as I know, it will only sync the trophies if you access the trophy section

as for the auto-upload, once my PS4 uploaded it when I play other games, so not only during rest mode

Just want to ask PayPal users, do any of you guys have tried adding funds to PSN via PayPal?

My case is, I have an active PayPal account with debit card registered and linked to my PSN. The funds was successfully added to my PSN account, while it creates a statement on my PayPal account but it never charges my bank account, which I had the money ready for them to deduct from my bank. My PayPal account has only RM5 in it but I can't add funds to it as only RHB bank supported, which I don't have. I'm using HLB for this transaction, and it's just only a small sum of money, RM15.

I use PayPal but I've never added money. I just buy directly using PayPal. It's much smoother and simple.

Link your paypal account with your PS Store, then just buy like normal. No need to add funds to Paypal. Paypal will deduct the amount from your bank account automatically

Odd because mine never auto upload, had to put into rest mode for them to auto sync trophies and upload saves game. My PS3 does that automatically every time i switch on the power supply and will switch off on its own after uploading saves game and syncing trophies.

Questions about psplus....

If I subscribe 1 month psplus and download the free game, next month my psplus expired and i dont renew it, can i still play the game i downloaded?

If i subscribe 1 month psplus on mid month eg 20/3, my psplus will expired on 19/4, can I download 2 free games on March and April?

Expired PSN means you can't play the free PSN games anymore.
As long as your PSN subscription is still valid you can download as many games as you want.
If i recall correctly.

1) PS Plus fee games are only playable while your PS Plus subscription is still active. Irrespective of how long your account has expired, you can play those free games again once you RENEW your subscription.
2) Yes it is possible to download 2 months of free games with 1 month subscription. But due to point 1 limitation, you can't play them without further subscription.
3)You must either download or add those free game to the library (if you don't intend to download it now and keep it for future). Otherwise, you'll not be able to gain those games for free after that particular month.

i suggest to send to sony for warranty first since it is still under warranty.

i did too and what they did was to replace the whole lower assembly (not sure exactly what is included but i noticed the bottom part of the enclosure was new).
