Sorry, ONLY possible fix is to:

- Open up the PS4
- Look for the metal contact on the case (attached to the eject button), tape it with electrical tape
- Grab a blade and scratch the gold contact point (for the eject sensor) on the motherboard.

This is the ONLY guaranteed fix. I, like you have done all the so called bullshit "fixes" on the internet. EVERY one of them I've tried, NONE works permanently.

Yes you will void your warranty, but sending it back to Sony will only result in 2 things:

1) Sony refurbish you a used PS4.
2) Sony do their own method of completely draining the entire system of power to remove any static remnants, test it for 5 minutes and tell you to come collect. Result, few days or weeks later, auto-eject again.

The newer versions of PS4 does indeed have a mechanical eject button. So far I haven't read/heard of anyone having auto eject issues with this model.

It's very easy. You don't even need to disassemble the whole system, all you need is to remove the bottom cover and you'll have access to the gold contact on the motherboard.

I haven't heard of any auto disc eject issues on the 12xx models, which basically confirms the dumb design Sony had with the original models.

This is what I have done last month, I bought my first ps4 cuh1006 back in February 2014 and been struggle with this problem almost two years and now finally I got myself a new cuh1206 and I can confirm this model already fixed it cause every night I play disc based games almost a month now

i suggest to send to sony for warranty first since it is still under warranty.

i did too and what they did was to replace the whole lower assembly (not sure exactly what is included but i noticed the bottom part of the enclosure was new).

touch wood, problem fixed and haven't got auto eject for a few months already.

just send for warranty , if its happen again , just follow what SSJBen mentioned on the previous post

Up to you bro. It's just a RM2 (for a roll of electrical tape) fix vs a whole new console.

I know it's under warranty so it's a tough pill to swallow by voiding it, but yeah it's the only permanent fix.  Of course the new console will also run quieter with the more logical software set for the fan curve, but on the whole it also runs hotter (just slightly, not significantly) because of the simpler heatsink design.

so sad my uncharted 4 still not arrive, as i order FEB 2016 via gemfive.

today i deal with Gdex (called 7,8 times from 845 am till 4pm), and gemfive FB and email CS, also whatsapp the merchant.
GDEX confirm my parcel is missing. Merchant also say im the only one that not receive (super unlucky), and gemfive cs and FB looking into it.
Gdex said will update gemfive, to tell merchant to send another new one for me.
but im still waiting gemfive official email confirmation on these, and merchant to update me when they really post a new one.
Order 07Feb2016 during CNY, and Im the last to get.     

GDEX call me again today, they investigate further is that the merchant itself collect back on the same day.
reason is "buyer cancel"
I was like " im the buyer, when i say cancel?"
then Gdex give me the phone number of the sender, Eric.
called and Eric go check.
Eric return call in 1hour, say cause during postage of all items, he saw my item in Gemfive stated "on hold", so he thought i cancel or what, he take back the parcel.
He checked with Gemfive is system error of "on hold" due to i change address on 4th May to my office address.
then i call back Gemfive and confirmed.

SP&K gamemart will repost by today or next monday.

Sony said it will cost around RM 200 to fix it.. Sigh, so unlucky

He said they will change the sensor as it's faulty.. He said it's a common problem for the first batches of PS4.. My machine is bought on launch day in December few years back.. They have to order the spare parts from Singapore and then only can fix it.. Takes around 2 weeks to fix it

Oh and it looks like Sony just doesn't learn from their mistakes? The PS4 Pro uses touch capacitive buttons for the Power/Eject switches. Prepare yourself for more 3 beeps and phantom disc ejects.

Just placed an order ps4 pro. My reasons - Need to change my ds4 which is quite worn up n to upgrade my hd as im into digital contents. I didn't buy the 4k gimmicks, but would prefer if they can improve the frame rates at 1080p. So let's see the breakdown cost of upgrading -

PS4 Pro RM1800. Bought through gemfive so getting discount around RM215. Plus maybank cash back on weekend of RM50. Effective purchase price is RM1535.

If i were to purchase new ds4 n 1 tb hd the price would be 180 + 200= rm380. since all of these are bundled in the pro package, then i would minus rm380, bringing down the purchase price to rm1155.

So will sell my 2 years old ps4 at rm900 which i assume is fair considering the used ps4 price is between 850-1100. If i deduct rm900 from rm1155, my actual cost of upgrading to pro is rm255 and im getting spanking new unit with superior spec. Bought from gamemart ( my old ps4 also was bought from gamemart thru lazada).
