QUOTE(pokchik @ Feb 14 2016, 10:59 PM)
dani_irwan, regarding Firewatch.. played for 15mins yesterday,
the game is as per what i expected it to be - storyline's quite nice.. having Delilah
as your chat buddy somewhat reminded me of the movie 'Her' (with ScarJo as your AI 'girlfriend').

gameplay is standard, artwork is also fine for me.

i'm not sure about it, but i think SSJBen answered your question from the previous thread (V13) and mentioned
about stuttering..
if Ben was commenting on Firewatch, then i would say that even for the first 15mins of gameplay, there were some stuttering..
it's as if the game was constantly trying to save data quite often (though no 'Save' prompting on screen).

would've played more, but I'm unfortunately still tied to my MGSV.. tongue.gif

for me, i would give the game 4/5 (i'm a sucker for story-based games like this one).
*
Wow, thanks for the info & the headup regarding the stuttering issue. Does the stuttering issue affect every PS4 or only certain units?

Thanks for the reminder guys, dloaded the correct update file from Sony website & put it in a FAT32 thumbdrive. Firmware installation on new HDD went smoothly.

QUOTE(nill @ Feb 18 2016, 07:43 PM)
u should have bought 2TB...
*
QUOTE(nill @ Feb 19 2016, 04:48 PM)
backing up file for the PS4 takes 10+ hours if you filled up 400+GB. 1TB will be worse..
The cost for 2TB is worth spending compared to Malaysia super reliable network speed and the time taken to back-up files.
*
Yeah, but 2 things kept me from doing so. a) price b) worried the 2TB HDD will exceed 9.5mm thickness. So 1TB will have to do for me now.

Currently redownloading & reupdating all my games onto the new HDD. >10 hours as of now.

Sony Gold Wireless Headset priced at RM399, comes highly recommended.
*
Looked for this yesterday at Sony Lowyat, but they didn't have it. Mind sharing where you saw this headset with that price of rm399? Would like to get one.

RM229 for HDD right? Not external? How much digital game you have?
*
Most of my games are digital downloads, I only have 2 or 3 games on disc.

QUOTE(aaz2082 @ Feb 19 2016, 10:18 PM)
Ok, tq bro.

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Feb 19 2016, 09:23 PM)
a) yeah the price , i bought mine rm370 ( seagate backup plus slim 2TB external hdd STDR2000300 ) , bit pricey but worth it , peace of mind
b) with seagate backup plus slim 2TB external hdd STDR2000300 , you cant go wrong .. it fit perfectly , as many PS4 owners who upgraded their console to 2TB are using this hdd

for me 1TB also a good choice bro .. later can upgrade it to 2TB , when the time is right  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
QUOTE(mrvkool @ Feb 20 2016, 01:54 PM)
Yup.  Would recommend you get the seagate 2TB backup +. I changed mine months back.  Although it looks fragile which u might break the thing if replacing the HD but infact it was pretty easy and smooth. And now I have a my old PS 500GB HD on my seagate 2TB housing to be used as my external HD.
*
Thanks for the clarification & feedback bros! So now as I understand it, the Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB is an external 2.5" HDD with it's own built in case/enclosure right? I thought it was a 'bare bones' or 'naked' HDD like the HGST one that I bought. Was it difficult to take the HDD itself out of the case?

As I said earlier,  it was pretty easy actually.  I was scared too at first because my hands are pretty rough and not meant for this kind of work.  Search and watch the exact tutorial video on YouTube.
*
Ok, thanks bro. I'll consider this ext HDD in case I decide to upgrade to 2TB in future. Currently I go survey price cheapest I found was @ Lowyat at ~RM365.

My advice is to create an R1 account & buy then download Firewatch using that account.

ya....never trust TM Router.
even TM staff ask to change the router to different outside brand immediately after install unifi/streamyx.
very sucky quality
*
Just curious, did the TM staff recommend a specific router brand/model to replace the standard Unifi one?

Just a heads up for those who are looking for Seagate backup plus Slim 2tb for your ps4, one of the shops there is selling for RM345, just got mine today and installed already.
*
May I know which shop is this?

QUOTE(daeniael @ Mar 2 2016, 02:21 PM)
hye guys..just wanna have some opinion here..i plan to buy ps4 but i dont know whether 500gb enough oredi or better take 1tb??
*
My advice would be to go for the 500GB but immediately upgrade to 1TB HDD before initializing the system. Or else if you think it's too troublesome then go ahead & get the 1TB version straight.

QUOTE(dragontongue88 @ Mar 4 2016, 08:46 PM)
I see, thanks for the reply.  sad.gif  I don't think I have enough confidence in myself to do what you did though haha...

I see, I guess no point in sending for warranty either.  sweat.gif

By the way, do you know if the newer model (CUH1206 I believe) still suffer from this auto-eject issue as well? I remember reading that the newer model changes the eject button to a mechanical one?  hmm.gif  Though I guess I will have to sacrifice a good RM 300-500 if I were to sell mine and get the newer model haha...  cry.gif
*
The newer versions of PS4 does indeed have a mechanical eject button. So far I haven't read/heard of anyone having auto eject issues with this model.

cheapest still extract the hdd from seagate backup plus slim 2tb
It is a laptop hdd wink.gif

buy online with coupons from 11st or lazada will be most worthwhile
*
Yup, this is correct. Might want to do this later. Worst thing about this is re-downloading all your digital games after the upgrade. On a mobile broadband internet plan with fixed monthly quota like I'm using now (no Unifi here), that is going to be a b*tch.

You can backup the whole HDD (including all application data + those free PSN games) into another alternative HDD then restore them back into the new 2TB HDD. Tried and tested it myself, didn't redownload a single game smile.gif
http://trendblog.net/how-to-replace-and-up...n-4-hard-drive/
*
Ah, thanks! Interesting...did you use a 'normal' 2.5" external hard drive for the backup? Just plug it into the USB port of the PS4 and all set? How about non-free PSN games?

Yup, I just plugged in normal Seagate Backup Plus Slim HDD to the USB and did the backup.

All my free PSN + disc installed games are backup and restored successfully. Depending on your size of data/games, it will takes few hours to do so though  sweat.gif
*
Wow, I didn't know one could do that. As for me, I just backed up my saved games & capture gallery photos/videos to a USB thumbdrive prior to the hard drive upgrade. Alright, will keep this in mind in case I want to upgrade again in future. Thanks!
