System won't round up. According to Uber staff told me, you need to collect:
1. RM 3.30 exact amount, no change for him/her
OR
2. RM 4.00 exact amount, change may needed if he pay RM5 or RM10 or RM20 or RM50

Riders / Partners apps WON'T round up to RM 4.00 to show on your screen.

Edit: If CASH Riders complain why need to round up, show him/her this screenshots.

the problem is the app wont round up for your and display at screen.. omg this is what annoying me..

If this scenario, you may opt to round down the fare on your own

I think I would go according this general rule...

< 50 cents = round down to nearest whole amount

> 50 cents = round up to nearest whole amount

The screenshots I show you is round UP to nearest ringgit. Not round DOWN.
If last week your fare + GH everything is RM 20.00 - 25% Uber Fee = RM 15.00
If you round DOWN, you are making LOSS.

Nice explaination on the total fare earning.
However the rider satisfaction may take into consideration while rounding up the fare.
Not every rider will have the awareness on Uber policy rounding up the fare If rider fail to pay in exact amount.

Same as the policy to start the trip 1 minute after arrival. Even driver proceed with notification, rider will still unhappy on it.

Rider unhappy? Afraid of getting low rating? No problem.
I rate low stars to all riders that late, and same goes to them rate us if we come late. If they do apologize for being late with some good valid reason. I give them 4 stars, otherwise they will get 2 stars from me.

If they are not aware of the Uber cash round up policy, is not our problem, is because they didn't read the terms. That's why as a driver, we should educate them, not encourage them to abuse our time and incentive.

Not to forget, collect more is safer collect less. What if you found out the trips fare are incorrect, Uber stated it clearly that, they won't adjust the fare for you driver if the trips is CASH terms. So no bargain. Think about your time and effort you put into?

Goodluck, you just encourage and educate them treat Uber Driver just like Taxi driver.

Any driver here had cash transaction yet?

My rider app don't have the option yet.

I received email from uber asking to uninstall and install back the uber app for latest update.

No matter how nice you are, some crappy rider still gonna rate you 4 stars because they think 4 stars is more than enough. Because they don't know about our drivers 4.6/4.3/4.0 stars policy.

Yea this happens pretty frequently too sadly. But rather than label them crappy, these are the people that thinks 3/5 is considered acceptable already if you go with the usual definition in most market research forms;

1 - very bad
2 - bad
3 - average
4 - good
5 - very good

What they don't know, in actual reality our rating is 1 to 10, starting from 4.1 to 5.0

Sometimes is due to the car type. I had one rider tell me he will always rate Myvi and Saga 4 stars and below. And he apparently is some ambassador for Uber. Or so he says.
