If we look at isolated incidents like this, yes the driver is making a loss. But over a period of long driving, it evens out. Surge trips? Return trips? Riders asked to wait will running errands during quiet hours?

Win some lose some.

Yes... So far my experience with Uber is really good... Compared to the majority of taxi drivers..

sorry, this probably been asked b4.. dry.gif

1. what is the passenger limit? Did you ever encounter more rider than you can take?
2. The pay is still the same whether it is 1 rider or multiple rider?
3. Do you need to help them with their luggage?

UberX - max should be 4 riders. UberXL - max should be around 7?

Pay is the same.

Luggage wise, it is up to you. But I personally think that if I just sit in car and wait my riders load their luggage on their own, it won't look good and you wouldn't know what they putting in ur car. So it is better to help them (in another way means helping urself too).

Is the GrabCar driver app similiar to Uber driver app? I have registered as a GrabCar driver, but I never did GC yet.

1. Like, is the method to get passengers in GC same like in Uber? I ask because I am reading GC website and it was stated that I have to bid for rides. Is that real? rclxub.gif
2. Also, in Uber driver app, we press the 'navigate' button and automatically, the map app on our phone is opened with the direction. Is this the same with GC?

Good luck to fellow uber drivers, I've stop driving uber ever since they launch cash payment which actually put us in a very bad positions in the eyes of the law.

Things had been very bad for part time drivers like me when they reduce the pricing and this approach might as well as the final nail in the coffin.

Uber's response on why they accepting cash is rather vague, since their stand is cashless since the beginning. I'm not saying u can't do uber anymore, but for me after calculating the risk involve and my car's wear and tear it's no longer worth it.

Do you guys avoid picking riders with low rating? What are the low ratings that u guys won't accept the ping?

I think riders below 4.7 are usually problematic.

To all who complain say uber suck cause 500m ride distance, toll etc, ya you guys can fuck off from uber. As a frequent rider, I don't need your type of stupid ass driver. Go to grab car for all I care. You guys are making my uber experience shit. As I said before, last year Uber experience is great, nowadays its total bullshit, and all thanks to stupid new drivers. Now ask cancel cause of "inconvenience" of paying toll, what's next? Ask to cancel for short distance trip? If this keep going on Uber is going to have the same problem as taxi.

We had the same idea..its just not worth it anymore. The rates and incentives are to low for drivers.

I guess only new blood who will realize in the long run will be driving and the quality of drivers will drop badly.

Those days were more worth it to drive and take the risk but not anymore.

You do realize that the "bullshit drivers" you mentioned do not represent all the other drivers right? Think nicely before you start talking.

Totally understand that you might feel irritating because of all this happening on you. However, someone also mentioned they have to purposely take a long trip (> few KM) to reach rider just to find out that they only want to go for a short distance (< 1 km).

So, imagine you yourself as the driver, how would you feel?

If you are unhappy about it, then please, say: "FUCK OFF" to yourself ok?

If you are OK with it, then proceed with the job.

People are doing Uber just to earn some extra money. So lets try to be considerate for others as well.

Here's the thing that I see for the past 10 months. Uber is becoming like taxi. The problem is taxi driver refuse to pick you up because of short distance and their "inconvinence". So guess what's happening now to uber? And yes I do need to be rude because the drivers I stated that complain i can guarantee are new drivers that drive less than 3 months. You do notice the difference on ppl replying here in this forum. The ones that KNOWS that there is nothing wrong with short distance trip or toll imconvinences are the old drivers which is the quality uber driver. The ones complaining that says fck off uber etc are the ones the shitty uber driver. Btw i did noted that "to those driver that complain toll etc" so I'm nit generalizing all drivers, just the bad ones. Why butthurt from my statement? You one of them driver that ask ppl to cancel trips? Starting today I'm gonna have a big manhunt on drivers that refuse to pick up due to "inconvinence" by reporting. I already had enough of this shit.

So far I had only 1 driver who called and ask me to cancel. While he did not say it is inconvenient for him, he said he scared I have to wait long. Based on the app, it would take him 15 minutes to reach the pickup point.

Too bad he didn't know I was going KLIA whistling.gif

In a way good for me cause he was a Myvi. Then I requested again, and got a new Vios rclxms.gif

2015 driver = They will call you and ask if you can wait for 15-20 minutes due to far distance, I cannot wait then they request you to cancel. This type of situation I will be gladly cancel.

2016 driver = call or SMS you to cancel say need to pay toll to pick u up and they lose money. This I cannot agree.

Disagree. The intention to cancel because of inconvenience not necessarily just new drivers. It is all depends on the driver's choice.

And nope, I have never cancel a single job (without valid reason) during my Uber session. Canceled trip once because of stomachache kicks in sleep.gif

If you want to report on those drivers, by all means, go ahead. It is your right as a customer anyway smile.gif

You do kniw that the old driver tat you stated cancel them self instead of calling their customer to cancel. That by all means is ok, as for ermengency etc I can understand and agree, its just the dumb and calculating reasoning of wanting to cancel trips due to paying toll etc is the one that irritates me. Pls you guys don't be such a hypocrite, here you guys complaining about taxi bad behavior and now you're justifying few of the same behavior that plagues taxi drivers.
