I just did three hours as an Uber driver. I earned RM 31 (after Uber cut). I did not aim for any peak area or guaranteed fare. I just went around the Wangsa Maju/Setapak area.
Its an average start, I guess.

Haih... the only reason I choose Uber instead of Grabcar was because of cashless payment. Now... I have to worry about change.

QUOTE(SupermanLick @ Apr 18 2016, 08:41 PM) Is the GrabCar driver app similiar to Uber driver app? I have registered as a GrabCar driver, but I never did GC yet. 1. Like, is the method to get passengers in GC same like in Uber? I ask because I am reading GC website and it was stated that I have to bid for rides. Is that real? 2. Also, in Uber driver app, we press the 'navigate' button and automatically, the map app on our phone is opened with the direction. Is this the same with GC?

QUOTE(jacky91 @ Apr 20 2016, 09:43 AM) Disagree. The intention to cancel because of inconvenience not necessarily just new drivers. It is all depends on the driver's choice. And nope, I have never cancel a single job (without valid reason) during my Uber session. Canceled trip once because of stomachache kicks in If you want to report on those drivers, by all means, go ahead. It is your right as a customer anyway Do you just do Uber only? or do you do Uber and GC?

QUOTE(iOnine @ Jun 8 2016, 04:13 PM) new comers only 25% im still 20%. Oh wait? For real? I see. But I find it really interesting that UBer is increasing the commission, rather that decreasing it. I really wonder what kind of business strategy they are using.... haha

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Jun 15 2016, 06:11 PM) Uber KL now have Driver Destinations. In some ways similar to GrabHitch where u only pick up rider heading the same direction as where u wanna go. Nice feature for final trip of the day. The current version of the Uber App has this function? QUOTE(2feidei @ Jun 15 2016, 06:18 PM) My uber partner apps still don't have? Me too. Maybe need to wait for the new version of the app.....

Hi all, I started out doing Uber in KL. But now I want to do it in JB. When I went online, I get redirected to the documents pages, even though all my documents are all still valid. Do I need to email Uber to change my location?

I started doing Uber in JB recently. Just want to confirm with you all..... JB to Senai Airport is a flat fare of RM 50, right? In my Uber profile, there is the fee table, which states this. But today, I sent a person to Senai Airport from JB and I did not get the RM50.

Good thing. Uber and Grab until now have not paid a single cent in income tax.....
I hope Malaysian government can enforce this law and make sure Uber and Grab pay their fair share of taxes.

Wait, doesn't the Uber driver app track the route you take from point A to point B?
I don't think the Uber driver app pre-determines the distance you take based on the destination the rider inputs.
Because, I have some rider who doesn't put any destination, then I just start the trip and drive according to their direction. The app will track the distance that is actually driven.
And for the record, I don't have Waze on my phone. So to say that Uber driver app "requests" waze for the shortest distance does not make sense.
