It could be a marketing tactic from MS, but still viable since it could further boost the number of late-minute installs.

Ya. You may take a look of more features here

Most people used Windows 8 and 8.1 have the most complaint is Shutdown button is missing, hard to find it.
*
Haha, agreed. When I first used it (before I discovered Charms), it was a total pain to locate that thing.

Mainly due to privacy concerns. But without MS "snooping", we wouldn't have those hotfixes that address issues.

i guess so smile.gif
it's weird. yeah just wait for the new one to come and do a clean install.
i think it's due to old os that somehow messed up something during previous installations, way before upgrade. if you make ssd as dedicated os drive from start, usually it will work, and you don't need to disconnect any storage disks.

I really HATE mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif MICROSOFT EDGE - the downloading of webpage is really SUPER SLOW. Makes me feel so frust!! bangwall.gif vmad.gif mad.gif ranting.gif Internet explorer was faster. Is there a way to make it go faster? So damn slow.

Also previously all my most recent webpages are right on top at the search bar there. Now with bing, the latest webpages you go to are no longer visible. In fact, my homepage (which is Yahoo) also gone. When I click Microsoft edge, my homepage does not appear anymore. Previously with Internet Explorer, it automatically appears. Really teruk-lar!

usually to speed up a web browser is to have a good internet connection and use ram disk for web cache. (my favorite is softperfect ramdisk; a small disk will do, eg. 2gb) for ms.edge, you can move internet explorer's temporary folder to the ram disk. (yes, internet explorer; press win+r, type iexplore to run it)

alternatively, just use other web browsers.

That's the latest CU, but things might get changed since Redmond is still on 1/8 laugh.gif

Those links are MS Windows Update server link, if your company blocked them, I assume your computer isn't up to date right laugh.gif

Thanks for your reply, but I am not sure what you mean by the words coloured in red. I am not exactly computer savvy.

1) Are you saying I need to go buy a "ram disk" from a shop and then use it like it's an external drive whereby I can save the internet explorer temporary folder there? I just drag the whole list into the ram disk? Is this what you mean?

2) press "win+r"? I cannot locate "win+r" on my keyboard. Kindy explain.

Ok sorry.

1. Ramdisk is a ram-based virtual drive created with software, like softperfect ramdisk. You install the software and create a ramdisk based on your needs, then move your web browser cache folders to it.

2. 'win+r' means pressing windows key and r key at the same time. It will bring up the run dialogue.
