My PC missed the upgrade as the process kept throwing the 0x80073B92 - 0x20009 error over the past few days.

Looks like my laptop would only enjoy it.

maybe there are many users doing last-minute upgrade rush i guess.

Hi everyone need some help
since few weeks ago I just bought ssd for my desktop
and I only realize can point the location to another location
example : files showing in desktop suppose using C (ssd) storage, but can go properties and let it point to D (hdd) storage so it will use hdd storage instead ssd storage (to reduce write as well)

so I done them, but somehow I think I point both Downloads and Desktop folder to same folder, so now their name are the same


from the photo can see both of them getting same name
even I check their properties, and then press restore to default also give me the same location

what I want to do is, point the Downloads folder that suppose in my C (ssd) to my D (hdd) folder name call DL (for example)
and point Desktop folder in C (ssd) to D (hdd) folder name call Desk (for example)
anybody can help ?? if can I don't want to do clean install again, is very tired

it's an alternative. however i'm not sure if it worked.

did you press 'move' and select the destination folder?

but somehow I notice my "Desktop" folder is missing in C:\Users\Username\
google about it, try to use regedit to solve end up still can't
might as well as wait for anniversary update then do a clean install, hassle free

After several trial and errors, the installation worked.

If you have an SSD (with Windows) and a HDD, disconnect the HDD before proceeding with the installation.

Else, it would throw some error code and you'd have to re-download the whole thing again.

It could be a marketing tactic from MS, but still viable since it could further boost the number of late-minute installs.

it's weird. yeah just wait for the new one to come and do a clean install.

i think it's due to old os that somehow messed up something during previous installations, way before upgrade. if you make ssd as dedicated os drive from start, usually it will work, and you don't need to disconnect any storage disks.

When I purchased an SSD, I cloned the Windows 8.1 OS from HDD to it before removing the Windows folder from the HDD.

Could be the cause

I like Windows 10 because got many new features.

Definitely like it, as it's a combination of W7+8. Feels good to have the Start bar back compared to the tile stuffs that block the whole screen.

Both devices were using W8.1, but my laptop was upgraded to W10 more than half-a-year ago.

Most people used Windows 8 and 8.1 have the most complaint is Shutdown button is missing, hard to find it.
