not really much to tell actually.

but u might want to change the theme colour to brighter one.
black will make u miss ur old windows and make u fill kinda ' dark'

set the Windows update to automatically sign in with ur password after updating .
will help u tremendously .go setting, windows update, advanced

u might want to show all icon on taskbar also

some good day

I have installed Windows 10 since end of last year. If I reformat my Windows 10 after the free upgrade, I no need to pay anything rite?

1. Yes. i bought it long ago and installed once on my current PC. ( refer my above post for purchase proof )
2. nope. im running on win10 insider rite now. so i cant get back my windows 8 OS

This method of activating Windows 10 using Windows 7/8.1 product key works only if you attempt to activate Windows 10 on a PC or device which was previously running a genuine copy of Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. That is, if you had running a legitimate copy of Windows 7/8/8.1 on your PC, you can use this method to activate Windows 10.

i think i really need to get a win8 installer and install on my pc to eligible for this

During the free upgrade, you can use a valid Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 product key to activate Windows 10 (Version 1511 or higher). The following types of product keys are supported:
> Product keys included in the confirmation email you received after buying Windows from an online retailer.

Windows 10 (Version 10240) are not support Windows 8
Windows 10 (Version 1511 or higher) using a Windows 8

Guys... 1 question. I'm using Win 10 Pro upgraded from Windows 8.1. Been using it for the past 6-7 months without hiccup. However... am thinking of upgrading to ssd... will i be able to reinstall Win 10 without the serial key...? I have downloaded Win 10 from the media creation app and heard that once pc have been installed with Win 10, the serial key will be permanently bound to the hardware... in this case... the motherboard...

yes the freshly installed w10 on a new ssd will be activated. replacing storage disks (e.g. hdd, ssd) is ok.
