tried the milk killer before. not as nice as i expect. purveyor better

Agree with this! I think I posted a few pages ago, Milk Killer is not as nice, the Espresso taste doesn't punch through as much as Purveyor or Shipper Blend.
Haven't tried it on its own without milk though, as it's meant to be brewed with milk.

Agree we should form a team then we can taste all the beans that beans shipper offer us at the same time we can share our brew taste and correct the mistake... It would nice if everyone live near by .... haha  rclxms.gif
I was planing to get cream and purveyor too.... but seem cream sudah habis....  sad.gif but the name "milk killer" kind of grabbing my attention.... hmm.gif
*
Haha... seems like we can start group buy for CREAM and PURVEYOR already thumbup.gif
Buy 1 KG of each then split

I think that is a great idea. Frequent purchases and beans stay fresh always

I was looking forward too. I had been experimenting some thai/viet coffee mixture but fail to do so on the ordinary beans.... maybe my beans are not dark enough or there is something wrong with the ingredient....

The other day i went to shop to take a shop to have ice thai coffee .... it seem nice and i get a sneak peek on their ingredient

1/2 jigger of condense milk (Mix with water because it seem watery when they squeeze out from the container)
1/2 or 1 jigger of milk
1/2 jigger of evaporate milk
1 table spoon of Some white powder which unknown to me (I assume it is vanilla powder, if anyone know, please advice it would be great)
2 shot of dark espresso
and crush ice (alot)

That ingredient sounds more like viet coffee simply because of evaporate and condense milk together and a lot of crushed ice. i might be wrong tho!! i bet the first sip is kinda "strong" with some caffeine kick and then the sweetness break through? then as the ice melts it gets better. well thats my first sip of Viet coffee in HCMC itself. rclxm9.gif

Btw any of you make pumpkin spice latte before?

Each roaster has it own profile of roasting the dark roast coffee which to other might like it or might no like it.... all comes down to preference but mostly over here we choose local bean roaster and not commercial ones if you can see from the link....

what your cold brew recipe?

as for me, I'm using 100 gram of espresso blend bean, grind to the size for french press with 800 gram of water. Steeping time of 24 hours.

Result, deep dark full bodied taste minus the bitterness and chocolatey aftertaste. Good either with ice or with milk and ice.

Or just use as fertilizer?

Wow 1:8 Ratio for cold brew, interesting!! it should taste quite intense.... and but for french press grind size for 24H i think it should be good. IDK but good to know!! Thanks notworthy.gif

How it taste?? hmm.gif i hate the smells of stale beans (Medium roast)!! so i can't imagine cold brew using them. maybe because you are using dark roast which i don't/never simply because i like bright/flavourful coffee.

Hey try em out and let us know it will be interesting to know!! haha else just ditch it in the garden! thumbup.gif

My cold brew recipe is usually 1:12 and beans that are close to 14 days after opening because can't finish in time. Peak time before the beans go stale.... i don't go as coarse as french press more of a drip/pour over size...and only 8H brew time! do it before bed time and wake up the next morning discard the coffee and the brew last for 2 weeks. Basically you will taste all the notes stated in the bag of beans minus the acidity.... awesome experience to taste!! rclxm9.gif

Discovered this thread so late. had lot of fun reading through all your post of coffee related stuff.
I love coffee. specially coffee with a more chocolaty aroma mix in with half and half.

this is my humble set up.

Lately have gone into home roasting and the coffee experience jumped immensely.
