finally i know why my phone cant connect/get charge with some cables already.. It's due to some dirts covering my connector pin in my Z5P usb port.. lol.. i use needle to clean it today in my office

Xperia Z5P users,

Try screen video recording in Facebook video or YouTube videos, and see how is your screen video recording. I record 1080p but the screen just show as 1/4 in video. It's mean our screen are really displaying 4k all the time. And upscale the 1080p to 4k

Okay. I tried my vr box and compare with my Xperia ZL and iPhone 6s plus. I feel z5p provide much smooth display and the rest 1080p u may see some pixels display. But not really noticeable. Z5p 4k display is a big advantage for vr

What's the average SOT for those who own Xperia Z5 dual? I'm getting approx 3hr 30 min - 4 hrs. Was hoping it would be better since only a 1080p screen.

I was able to get approx 4 hr 30 min with my previous Nexus 6p but that was with Qhd screen.

Hmm. My z5p choose cable to charge. Not all microusb are able to charge it. I sent to service center and they also feel weird. Need send to KL for further inspection. But I don't want, since there are some cables able to charge my phone then just sit leave it. Maybe I will get 1 mid range handset again to replace z5p during warranty service inspection.

Bro, I'm having some kind of same issue as you with my Z5 Dual

Whenever i charge using wall plug:

1st time: It won't detect charging input incoming (Random)
2nd time: So i have to unplug everything and plug back again then the phone only start charging. doh.gif

I'm using the original Wall plug came with Z5 Dual (1.5a)

Some of people facing this issue too. It might be an issue with software 6.0. Wait for next update and see. I don't have this problem with lollipop.. I ask 1 of Sony center, got other customers facing the same problem like me. So I hope next update may solve it. Temporary I do have few cables which able to charge my phone somemore.

Hi guys, new Z5 dual white user here.

Trade in my 2 year old Z2 today for Rm600 at SenQ after its front and rear glass starting to separate from the frame doh.gif

So bought the new one for RM1600... ok price I guess

I really don't know when can I see a flagship phablet from Sony. The Z5 Premium is close but not really a phablet. sad.gif
The Z Ultra is the best phablet I have ever used.

may i know latest firmware version for Z5P it is still end with "185" ?? i already downgrade back to 5.1.1,
because at android 6 some app cannot work.

Setting > Security > Smart Lock > Trusted Places > Add trusted place...

wah lah.... "unfortunetely, Google Play service has stopped".

tried my fren Z5 too. same error.

Yes still end with 185. I believe soon might got 6.0.1 version for us..

Same. I do have this error too from.my testing. But no concern on me cause I won't turn on this smartlock. I prefer fingerprint unlock..

when will the stamina mode make a comeback T_T

the SOT on Z5 premium is really disappointing, comparing to older variants like the Z3, or new competition like the S7 edge.

I got average 4 hours plus a bit in Z5 premium. S7 edge are basically won in overall aspect due to s820 chipset which based on 14nm. While s810 in our Z5 series is based on 20nm..from tech perspective, s7 edge definitely got better battery life.

Achieving 4 hours plus too, only when I'm constantly aware to dim my screen.
