Anyone tried MHL connection to projector before? I can see the MHL icon in the notification bar after connecting, but am unable to get the video output.

Thinking of the Z5C or the iPhone SE to upgrade my Z3C.
Actually, I'd prefer the Z5C, but some bad experiences with my Z3C like having to change the motherboard twice are giving me second doubts about the Z5C. Any thoughts? P/S: Actually, the main reason I'm considering an upgrade is because my Z3C's drop down status bar have stop responding when I'm in home screen This post has been edited by shahzane: May 14 2016, 10:29 PM |

Hey guys, Z5 Compact user here. I'm wondering if any of you got Marshmallow on your Z5 Compact. If yes, where did you get it and is it rooted?

actually are we on gorrilla glass? I have replaced the tempered glass screen protector 3 times so far, since getting the phone in january. If the front glass is indeed gorrilla i am considering to not stick one after the current one breaks (this is my first phone getting a screen protector, because it is very much made of glass, both sides, which bothers me).

Dunno if it's gorilla glass but I went without screen protector at the start and there were micro scratches on the screen (I dont keep keys in same pocket or had any drops)
Would suggest to leave on a plastic screen protector at the very least. |

I was once told by a person who works in a Sony reseller , telling me that the Z5 Premium is a fully 4k phone , eg. menus , gameplay , everything , when I told that person it's only in the media for Pics and Videos only , I was quickly told otherwise lol.
Even told me update it to Marshmellow to have it "officially" fully supported 4k. Also had a discussion about the PS4 , been told it also supports 4k for games. I don't even know where this person got their knowledge from lol. |

Wish to experience the Virtual reality with our phone. To see any difference between our screen and normal FULL HD display afterwards.. our Z5 Premium display was always in 4k, since the panel is 4k based.. just contents and apps rendering in full HD anjd upscale for 4K display. but still with 4K pixels.. If the front glass is indeed gorrilla i am considering to not stick one after the current one breaks (this is my first phone getting a screen protector, because it is very much made of glass, both sides, which bothers me). here's some gorilla glass (even gen 4) facts that no one knows :- it's not a shockproof glass. it will still crack if subjected to drops. - it's not a scratchproof glass. starting at the MoH scale of 6, the glass will scratch if the material hardness is harder than 5. - it's the oleophobic coating on glass that helps the phone to resist scratches. once that worn off, you are very likely to scratch the glass so, do you need a screen protector to protect your screen if it's using gorilla glass? yes, with a plastic film at least. sand particles and sharp objects (be it keys or else) in pocket may scratch your screen. if you want a better glass protector, you may look at imos. you can look up JerryRigEverything on youtube and look at him scratching gorilla glass 4 phones (eg, the S7 edge), and compare with Z5P. Helo guys, im experiencing significant shutter lag, nearly 1 sec after press the shutter, be it the physical or the on screen button. Im using the internal, not sd to save the picture. I already disable touch to capture, save location
Iv gone through xda to find possible solution, iv already disable the 'photo analyzer' service but still the lag is there. Im quite sad given that we paid quite an amount for the phone. My wife phone, note 5 can immediately capture the moment. Even my aging samsung s5 i think is faster.. Huhu can u guys enlighten on how to solve this.. I missed many invaluable moments cause of this T_T Do u hv any advice? S7 is quite a performer and tempting replacement.. |

I have the Google cardboard. Its a little blurry since its so near to your eyes. But if its 4K screens I don't see it to be an issue thereafter. Shouldn't be as blurry.Btw, anyone here have try the VR box/google cardboard? If yes, how is the experience? |

Normally a slight knock at the edges of the glass sp could also break it.and previously all my smartphones are pretty much naked (don't mind a minor hairline scratch or two myself after a while) the reason i get very paranoid this time is that instead of 1 piece of glass on the front side there's another piece at the back so the risk of cracking the glass is actually doubled so i am now wearing a case to protect the glass at the back and a tempered glass protector for the screen but for some reason the glass breaks so much more often than i expected it is very annoying having to replace the tempered glass protector about once / month I suggest imos glass sp if you want good quality. But then, the price ain't cheap. This post has been edited by raymondtong94: May 16 2016, 01:54 PM |

New owner of Z5 dual reporting in. Traded my 32GB Nexus 6p for this because I needed a dual sim phone that's easy to use with 1 hand.
So far so good except the volume is softer than the 6p. Other than that it is a very smooth and fast phone. |
