mainly slightly save battery and better performance
from the example you mention, better get i7 as i7 got hyper-threading

Hey there. I'm gonna update my requirements a bit after doing some thinking. Here goes.

1. Preferred Brand:
None.

2. Budget:
2.5k, but willing to go up to 3k if it's worth it. (Not including OS because I have my own W10 key, antivirus, Office)

3. Usage:
Web browsing, music making (using software like Ableton Live, Guitar Rig, etc), video editing (Sony Vegas), light gaming (if possible can run Dota2 at high settings), programming (for work), will be travelling with it a lot.

4. Preferred laptop/screen size:
14 inches.

Must have (from most to least important):
-At least 3 usb ports, with 1 still using usb2.0 (because my Line 6 UX2 audio interface is not compatible with usb3.0)
-Skylake (Gen 6) i5 - U processor (I don't see the need to go i7, U for improved battery life)
-Portable / lightweight (2.3kg or less)
-Long battery life
-1TB HDD (or 126GB SSD + 500GB HDD)
-4GB RAM

Thank you for any help sifus! For now I'm still looking for Inspiron 7447, but I feel I should get something with longer battery life, a little lighter, and longer lasting (since 7447 uses 4th gen i7).

Actually got 1... but other country might not easily claim like in Malaysia. Alot s. o. p.. here we all can skip.. even factory outlet units can claim in oversea

Dell, hp, asus, msi, Acer all hv international warranty.. either come wif or top up. Lenovo on the other hand very susah to claim.. system error i think

Btw i hv big bulk stocks cominy...

Hi, do these 2 models exist in Malaysia?

ASUS Zenbook UX303LA-RO467H
Asus X554LA-XO2197T

If not, any similar recommendation? Thanks.
