If you do gaming at highest settings, don't get the UX305. It doesn't have a dedicated GPU. So, not so recommended.
This Asus K401 will suit your usage. 1.65kg. Slim and light. Comes with a decent GPU for max settings in the games you play. Good enough for a long run. But no back-lit laugh.gif
Asus K401U-BFR011T 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6200U, 4GB, 1TB, NV GT940M, W10H) RM2.6k/-

You would wanna stay away from Core M if you wanna do gaming. Laptops with core M are fan-less. It will definitely give some damage to the laptop if you do it on the long run. biggrin.gif

Hi guys, can you all recommend me on a laptop?

1. Preferred Brand:
None.

2. Budget:
2.5k, but willing to go up to 3.2k MAX if it's worth it. (Not including OS because I have my own W10 key, antivirus, Office)

3. Usage:
Web browsing, music making (using software like Ableton Live, Guitar Rig, etc), video editing (Sony Vegas), movies, light gaming (if possible can run Dota2 at high settings), video calls (so preferably has good cam and mic).

4. Preferred laptop/screen size:
14 inches.

Must have:
At least 3 usb ports, with 1 still using usb2.0 (because my Line 6 UX2 audio interface is not compatible with usb3.0)

Bonus:
-Long battery life. At least 4 hours.
-Good after sale service.

Thank you for any help sifus!

Hello everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm looking for a new laptop. I hope you can assist me with this.

1. Preferred Brand

I don't mind any brand, as long as it has good after sales service, or a good warranty.

2. Budget

RM 2000 - RM3000
3. Usage

Using it for gaming such as Dota2 and Warframe, but also using it for video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.

4. Preferred laptop/screen size

14-16 inches is fine.

Currently using a 2010 Sony Vaio C Series laptop. Has lasted for 6 years now, but lately, it has been getting too hot for gaming or even browsing. The performance is the same, but it's been getting way too hot. I have cleaned and applied thermal paste a few times but it refuses to cool down.

So I'm looking for another replacement soon, before all my work suddenly dies when this laptop burns itself to death.

Yes. GST inclusive. You can also find K401-B at 2.5k GST inclusive. Just saw it in both Brightstar and Techypermart
