what did he know about UTs, excepts grumbling (in a positive tones) about his non superb performing IRR.....
just don't buy in this near short term what he is holding now.....

btw, I am sure he (uncle looi) is of no where near the league of the other names you just mentioned above + many others as listed......

ya-lor......he is (should be kicked) out of this league.......seeing his monthly tracking chart......so demoralizing for potential UTs investors.....
maybe FSM MY might use his chart to promote their CIS functions to new UTs investors..
(see, there was this guy that did not use our CIS helps...see how his portfolio performed)

Luckily for FSM as they are agent less......else some people may say he got conned by the agents......"i did told him so, I did told him so...AGENT CHEATS"

I think there is a silver lining on your monthly non performing IRR chart on potential UTs investors
it "might" gives them some sense of
the actual expectation of UTs investment,
have a thought about its possible low returns, (for years)
get the priority right in the 1st place,
know his/her true risk appetite,
his/her financial staying power,
invests with the money one can afford NOT to use for a long time,
his/her entry into UTs to be moderately and use UT as not as a sole investment vehicle....

to be on a safe sides.....a new UT investor should ask FSM CIS to do a risk profile test on you and help set up a portfolio for you......
you may not learn first hand, you may not have so much fun,....BUT there will always be someone to "BLAME"

anyhow, not U lar - just generally people tend to get excited & chase things that are already up.
still, if there's A PLAN & METHODOLOGY, is good.

buy high, sell higher - bulls (momentum, arbitrage, etc) makes $
buy low, keep/sell much later - bear (chicken littles, pessimists, etc.) makes $
no plan & methodology - pigs get slaughtered

Uncle - U & i are in the similar age-band leh (i think - beatles/disco era)

Anyway, I think your honesty is good. It's so easy to just report good news and hide bad ones which is what ppl usually do with social media postings. It makes others realise, at least they (we) are not alone

It depends on what u buy now. Ex buy bond now switch later to eq kena sc.
Some fh has switching fees.
Some fund has holding period.
Normally same fh, intra switch between same asset class is free no extra charge.
