how about friendi? altel and tunetalk need to pay rm 28 to get 365 extended warranty
*
If you're roaming international, receiving sms like banks TAC under normal circumstances you do not get charged. Sending sms or even a 1 sec call when on international roaming can cost quite a bit. So Friendi's 60 days validity may or may not be cost-effective depending on country location/partner.

Besides, what if a sudden last minute hectic schedule makes you forget to extend your validity on that particular day ? I'd say that RM28 is reasonable cost for 365 days of peace-of-mind.

1. If your Digi is not Prepaid Best 2016 then SLL is still available at the moment.

2. TRON does not have international roaming.

3. If international roaming is required, I would use OneXOX for receiving only bank TACs ... If you need to reply to some bank confirmation sms then I would suggest Altel or Tunetalk. All three are using Celcom infra. All three have long validity.

Thanks a lot... not sure what is my digi plan right now.. will check it

Hi, is there any other equivalent plan to the tunetalk yearly renewal + cheap weekly data?
I do not want to pay RM30 each month.
Thank you.

I have checked out the site.
Not sure which is which, onexox or xox.
But both do not look cheap.
Probably I do not understand how they work, could you please explain a little?
Which telco line are they using?

--EDIT--
I noticed your post in the XOX thread, will read that now.

Ya just had a chat with DiGi. Previously I bought Super Long Life at RM30+ per year. Now changed to DiGi Prepaid Best 2016 because it's the only plan available for SLL, and realized it's RM108 per year! The prepaid number is for my mom. She is using feature phone, doesn't need data or SMS, and only makes some calls. I have RM50+ credit in the account. Willing to MNP to other telcos.

What are my options?

QUOTE(UN1T3D @ Apr 5 2017, 05:38 PM)
Fact 1: The cheapest 1 year validity is TRON whereby a single topup of RM10 will give you 365 days validity.

Fact 2: The cheapest starter pack with longest validity is ONEXOX. Simpack RM10 + reload RM10 = RM20 total cost (to get 28 months initial validity).

Besides just validity, if coverage and call/sms/internet tariffs is to be considered please review the list below and check their respective websites:

1. Altel (celcom infra) : 1 year validity RM28
2. BuzzMe (Umobile infra) : 1 year - RM38
3. ONEXOX (celcom infra) : 1 year RM25
4. TRON (digi infra) : 1 year validity with any RM10 topup
5. Tunetalk (celcom infra) : 1 year validity RM28
Editedt: swatting typo typo typo ...

Okay just saw this helpful post. Checked out the Tron homepage. Went through the FAQ and noticed that my existing credit will be burned if I MNP to Tron. So will use as much credit as possible before jumping. Thanks!

Bye Digi!

SLL is still available to some of the older versions at RM38 and RM68, but you can't really get it unless you're already a holder of one of them - can't downgrade your existing version. nod.gif

Also, I'd go for OneXOX rather than Tron. smile.gif

DiGi chat told me Best 2016 is the only plan which has SLL right now. Also I was previously on V3 but had to change plans to get the SLL option available. They lied to me...? sad.gif

Why OneXOX?

If your place have good celcom coverage then onexox :

1. gives automatic 28 months validity upon successful mnp (1st time only)
2. reasonably low call charges (DA 9 sen / 30 secs block off-net)
3. get even lower call rates with season pass (9 sen / 60 secs block)
4. no pay-per-use data
5. only topup when needed (with stacking validity)
6. 1 year extended validity available

Go over to onexox thread and read up ... biggrin.gif

It could be that SLL is no longer available for V3, and that if you've to upgrade in order to subscribe to SLL, Best 2016 is the only version that can be upgraded to? I won't know the exact reason since I don't have V3 to check.

When you upgraded your version, was Best 2016 the only one available in the list?

It is crazy to just pay rm108 for nothing. Might as well just use the money to top up.
