Nope, you are not the first one to face with this. I saw others reported in this thread as well.
There were also people managed to apply online.

Went to Tesco just now and all the counters have a notice stating credit card machines are down due maintenance from CIMB. They only accept cash

you can earn cb more than the voucher later

still, its a bonus if rm50 + cb later.

at that page, click on the dropdown list and select application status. then you can upload docs

The application is rejected by the system. It doesn't even allow u to apply. Status will be empty

Eventually the amount had reversed back to the CL upon checking today. I really need that CL to buy overseas products.

To spend until the last cent of your CL has a risk, the transaction may not go through though the chances are very low to happen.

I always have bad experiences with CIMB bank, applied online for CB platinum, wait for 2 weeks after multiple emails to them, no reply also checked the junk mail, there is no delivery failure. So I go check the application status today, it is cancelled not rejected.. They should have call or email me back at least.. no response at all..

The problem is CIMB Bank issued the CL not enough to cater for my monthly expenses. Need to check, normally bank provided the CL is only two times the current salary or more than that? Seems like nowadays banks had controlled the CL to be issued to client.

There is no simple formula to derive your CL.

some banks give 1.5x of your salary. Some give 2x, 3x.
Also some give 5x.

There are many factors to be considered. If you think you deserve more CL, just request for CL increase by submitting your document.
Otherwise, the easiest way is to get a new card from another bank. That usually double up your CL by 2 folds.

You are right. N in my case 8x my monthly salary.

Usually if annual salary less than 36k, they will restrict to 2x-2.5x of your monthly salary.
However, despite having more than 36k per annum, my HLB cards are only 2x of my monthly salary but luckily it is more than enough for me because I will not spend that much and will control the spending quite accurately.

CIMB gave me 5x of my monthly salary. So, it really varies.
