No. Not eligible. UOB VOX is eligible.

Anyway, why so fast opened a new thread when the old one hasn't reached 2500 posts? victorywp?
*
with the average post per day, it should reach 2.5k by 25th but that's the time most people busy holidaying. so, i do it slightly earlier so that everyone can enjoy their holiday. lol... biggrin.gif

hi friends,

I've recently spent my cimb card overseas. They had informed me that the conversion rates comes visa international. Upon checking at visa website, there is a place where we can input our bank fees where i keyed in 1%. Upon checking my bill, i realised that i was overcharged with 1% extra by cimb.

This means visa gives a horrible exchange rate and top of that charges 1% exchange rate. Then Cimb charges 1% extra. Total is 2% instead of 1%.

Has any bro's been through this situation. I lodged official complain with BNM and guess what. i opened all my bill dated 7 years and got my extra 1% back. Please be aware!!!!!!!
*
that's cross border fee of 0.8% i suppose.

I thought can conveniently auto charge IWK bills for CIMB CR since it did say 2% rebate autopayment/SI for utilities.

Anyways if anyone is wondering, IWK bill for December has been autopaid by my CIMB CR and no 2% rebate. It falls under the 0.2% other retail rebates.

Guess still POSonline then.
*
thanks for testing it out. so you shall cancel your autodebit using this cc already.

anyone have bravely tried to find out the SAFE "grace period" (wont kena late payment penalty & finance charge) of cc bill payment AFTER due date?

e.g. CIMB CR due date @ 4 Jan (example). Is it safe to pay the bill +1 day? +2 days? so on...
*
not safe... i kena that late payment and finance charge before... if not mistaken is 2-3 days after due date. but good thing can be waived after call.

As i know once slapped by late payment charge,  20days grace period is no more applicable rite?
*
that's mbb case whereby if you slapped by late payment charge, your 8.88% not applicable anymore and became 18%.

He's more concerned on the 20 days interest period rather than the tiered interest rate for the financial charge.
*
yeah, i mean it's not affected. maybe he confused with the one i'm saying.

Yes, i am more concern if the late charges are waived, does the bank reinstate the 20days grace period immediately.. Else we will be slapped by another late charges if the next cc payment is made during the 20days grace period.
*
the 20 days period not affected at all.

Temporary increase of limit can't swipe for EPP if that's not within your CL laugh.gif

He only have 10, he wants to swipe 20 and convert to 12 months.

Mana boleh? Usually bank will only allow EPP within your CL only.
*
yeah, need to apply for permanent increase then. sweat.gif

For Agoda/Experia, is the price shown in the search result discounted or will it be discounted during the booking? Thanks...

the price shown is not yet discounted. if you logged in while viewing, the price may be further discounted for insider deals. and if you enter via any agoda/cc link, you will get another discount after you key in your cc details.

I booked a room through Agoda for RM174.38 but a few days later I have to cancel it because I have found a better option. That transaction has been charged into my account.

Charged in account : 175.78 (with cross border fee)
Refunded in account : 174.38

The refund amount should be 175.78 right?
*
i just checked mine:

1) rm217.67 refunded rm215.94
2) rm265.63 refunded rm263.52

so yeah, the cross border fee of 0.8% will not be refunded.

update.

Payment Due Date on Sunday (17 Jan).
IBG from M2U on Monday (18 Jan) morning, credited in CIMB CR card same day afternoon.
No Late Payment Fee charged as of today (19 Jan)  thumbup.gif

I did call CS before IBG, agent said they have 1-2 days grace period. If kena late payment fee, she advised to call in for waiver. Not dare to test +2 yet, +1 is good enough.  blush.gif
*
speaking about this, my due date is 17/1 too and i have totally forgotten to pay it! doh.gif
just did the payment this morning via cimbclicks instantly.
so mine is +2 again... see if they charge me late payment fee again.
not sure still waivable or not for my case... sweat.gif
