QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 29 2015, 10:17 AM) Statement balance amount, the one without cash rebate. Other banks allow you to deduct the cash back before payment but it seems CIMB doesn't allow and will impose penalty to cardholders. There were a few forummers shared abouf this earlier. If this is the case, first time paid the full amount based on Statement Balance. How about the cash rebate that we accumulated on the particular month? Next month they will credit back to the Statement Balance?

QUOTE(David83 @ Dec 30 2015, 07:42 AM) Just pay full as per Statement Balance to avoid complication of being charged for interest. Cash rebate will be credited in the next statement and will not be regarded as payment or advanced payment to offset the current statement balance as per forumer feedback. Noted. I just verified with senior officer from CIMB Bank and it is indeed pay in full amount based on Statement Balance rather than Outstanding Balance. Cash rebate will be credited to the next Statement Balance.

QUOTE(t3arsCulprit @ Dec 31 2015, 01:38 PM) Yea.. I always do that for other credit card.. But what they charged are the credit plus shield lolx.. Im trying to avoid getting the charges though which occurs on 28th of every month, they do not have a buffer/grace period like given extra one day.. I signed up this credit shield for other card, but I nvr even once getting charged for that bcos I always remember to pay on 1st or 2nd of every month.. This is the reason why I am saying I have a very bad experience with the bank itself.. Hahaha.. But its purely my own opinion.. Others might are enjoying paying the credit shield charges happily.. I dunno.. Cheers 1. 28th of each month is the cut-off date for CIMB CR Credit Card. 2. Generating the statement of account is time consuming (Usually 4 to 5 working days)

If the bank statement date is 28th of each month and during that day I spent for certain goods, will the statement balance add in the amount I spent on 28th for this month? I found out CIMB Clicks will shown yellow error signed with "payment due" indicated in red in the system. But so far my payment is settled in full.

QUOTE(hitch80 @ Jan 31 2016, 10:15 PM) That is pretty much depending on the merchant....some merchant submit fast, while others tend to hold for a day or two (two being very unlikely)...even online payment...most will hold for 1 day at least , while some submit on the same day My lazada purchase i made at 10am on 29th still not posted in CIMB, while 11street purchase on 30th I already able to see the outstanding amount in CIMclicks today If this is the case, that means referred to posted date in CIMB Clicks and if statement balance did not stated the transaction, it will included in the next statement and it won't charge under late charges so long I pay the current outstanding amount.

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Feb 29 2016, 11:19 PM) guys, mostly u guy follow cimbclicks credit card section due date to pay outstanding which is show every 17th or 28th? 28th of each month is the statement date. 17th or 18th of each month is the due date to make the payment or else interest charge will impose to your account.

QUOTE(adele123 @ Feb 29 2016, 07:29 PM) it's OK now. So... for the past many months i've been paying outstanding balance (i.e. AFTER the cash rebate). However for the month of January, i've been charged finance charges for not paying the full statement balance. Oh well, other forummers beware... stick to paying statement balance Not understand your sentence. That's means during the 1st time you make the payment is not settle in full (Only pay the outstanding balance)? Normally after your first payment settled in full the rest of it just referred back to statement balance rite (Statement balance for subsequent month will deduct the cash rebate earn from previous month)? There are four options available to make your own payment. Either is minimum, custom, statement and last but not least is full. Normally payment should be make under statement but not full unless it is first payment. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.

Hi all, need to check is it normal for CIMB Bank to charge RM200 upfront payment for outside petrol pump each time we going to pump the petrol? If we pump the petrol on 27th of each month, isn't that upfront payment will charge to our account even the actual amount is not the same? I really need some clarification on this matter.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Mar 20 2016, 05:52 PM) it's common for all banks. If we pump petrol on 27th of each month, and our CC pay RM200 upfront, isn't that the calculation is wrong since the statement date is fall on 28th of each month and we going to pay extra amount for our petrol that did not pump for so much?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 20 2016, 06:01 PM) Through out my experience, I have not seen the RM 200 posted on my transactions, just that my credit limit is reduced. Thanks for your clarification. If this is the case, those floating amount will not charge on my statement as long as the merchant did not submit their claims during the statement date.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Mar 20 2016, 09:14 PM) it's not a transaction and there's no floating amount. they will just temporarily block a rm200 from your credit limit. as mentioned, it's just a pre-authorisation for you to be able to fill in petrol. the finalised transaction will only occur after you put the nozzle back. if you really worry about this, next time use petron instead. so far only petron able to preset the amount you want to fill, before you slot in your cc for payment. in this case, only the preset amount will be charged to your cc and there will be no pre-authorisation involved. Noted. Thanks victorywp.

Hi Team, need to check did anyone of you experience CC charged pre-authorization amount RM200 + the actual amount of pumping the petrol for the next working day? If this is the case, did the bank will refund the full amount of RM200 to my account? I'm kinda worried as the petrol station might overcharge the amount once again and deduct it from the RM200 pre-authorization amount.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 21 2016, 08:01 AM) why dont you call CS to ask which amount is actually charged to your card? if too paranoid, keep calling them every single day, to monitor the activities. why are you so worried about the rm200 preauthorization? unless you're planning to do some suspicious petrol purchases, general ppl who pump petrol has no worries about this matter. If the petrol station decided to charge your CC twice for single petrol pump, would you feel worried?

QUOTE(edwardccg @ Mar 21 2016, 08:14 AM) Don't worry, as long as you got a printed receipt from petrol pump. thats all for a single transaction. RM200 is amount charged to ensure you have enough credit limit to pay for the pump, if you are using debit card, you will also get this RM200 being reserved until it posted. You can always using "preset" option to charge exact amount on pump, I know petron, shell and petronas has this option, didnt try others. Thanks for your advice edwardccg.

QUOTE(chiahau @ Mar 21 2016, 08:15 AM) Swipe inside counter => charged immediate amount. Swipe at pump => 200 ringgit authorization. Quite impossible for petrol station to charge your card twice. Because once you put the pump back into the machine, the transaction was captured and an invoice issued. OK. Noted.

QUOTE(xxx306 @ Mar 23 2016, 06:44 PM) Keep calling them since this evening but they said system still down or in maintenance. Sigh. I had called them numerous times but yet to hear some good news from CIMB bank. Now the pre-authorization amount still floating since last Sunday. Not sure when the floating amount can fully reverse back to my account. Sigh!!! This post has been edited by Jeffreynsx: Mar 23 2016, 07:20 PM

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 23 2016, 09:30 PM) Erm, are you going to use that RM 200? It will be reversed back eventually la. Not like the floating amount is posted on your bill, you won't be asked to pay for it. Eventually the amount had reversed back to the CL upon checking today. I really need that CL to buy overseas products.
