Relevant for CAT 9, ACCA 2.3, ACCA 3.2 (Malaysian variant)
Well.. i think most of u should have known that government has announced RPGT to be abolished for some incentive purposes.. So if applying the acca six months examinable rule, J07 should be the last sitting for RPGT tax n not examinble anymore from D07.. But, from wat i know, even questions for D07 has been set.. How..?? Besides, even though RPGT will be examinable in J07, but in my opinion, it is ridiculous to test student on something that is not applicable anymore in our real life.. What do u guyz think..?? QUOTE(G[a]rY @ Mar 24 2007, 03:33 PM) Relevant for CAT 9, ACCA 2.3, ACCA 3.2 (Malaysian variant) Yup...i thk it's not realistic to test students on anything that is ady abolished. IMO, since the exam Ques have been set, having no choice i guess it's still examinable until the examiner state otherwise in student newsletter....Well.. i think most of u should have known that government has announced RPGT to be abolished for some incentive purposes.. To Colly & all top students :
Paper 3.5, is it necessary to Quote the Author's name for its model to interpret the point ?? For example, is it necessary to Quote Peters & Waterman in its theory of "in Search for excellence" ?? The word "Peters & Waterman" carry any marks?? I heard it carry 1 Mark which is substantial If the Question ask to use Model to interpret ur answer. Does that mean if we put other things which is relevant but not a model, there will no marks be rewarded ? Or like we forget to quote the Model name (eg. Porter's 5 forces), but we still manage to write its point like Competitive rivalry etc etc points, does that mean we still will be obtain reasonable marks?? Thx |

I was taught that in Cat P5, quoting the name was to a point, important, but I'm not quite sure in 3.5
I assume it is, since at a low level it's already necessary, I guess it should be too at a higher level paper. |

Thx if u can remember,i would suggest u write in the author name as welll...at least mentioned it for 1 time... ya,of coz if u really did not mentioned and u able to explain,u still get ur marks...but i doubt u can score enough,so suggestion is if they mentione model, then pls give the model with ur explanation |

QUOTE(Irresistible @ Mar 26 2007, 12:43 PM) Although u are asking ONLY coolly and top students which im not, i want to share from what I know. Actually if u went to attend mr parmindar class 3.5, he really like to mention author's name and some of them u really never heard b4! According to Parmindar, when u write for 3.5 answer, here are the steps:1) Identify the issue 1st. Determine how many issue in the questions and roughly guess the proportion of marks so u can know how much u can write. 2) When writing answers, always try to support ur answer based on some models when the Q is silent. 3) Always quote examples from author bcoz it force the marker to consider what u wrote. Most of them really dont know some of the authors but they are forced to give u marks bcoz they cant say u are wrong bcoz they dont know at the 1st place. If the marker knows then lain cerita d la.... In addition, if u want to cheat in this paper, use local corporate example as much as u can to support ur answers....the ang mohs really dont know! I dont know, u may try it out.... That's all i guess......hope can enrich ur knowledge on this subject! If u got anything 2 share pls share with me too! Im also a blur blur student...
