QUOTE(redkord @ Apr 5 2016, 03:22 PM) Hi guys, i want to buy new iphone SE or 6s. but right now the thing that make me want to buy 6s is because 3d touch. did u guys use it often? is it really useful? Personally I rarely used itI find it not 100% responsive - usually needed a few tries to get it to work A feature I can happily live without Some users however love it |

QUOTE(dreamthief @ Apr 6 2016, 12:01 AM) Useful but not essential. Yeah, just when the SE was announced, I was weighing my options between the SE and the 6S and 3D Touch was one of the factor taken into consideration but at the end of the day, I caved in to 6S yesterday XD.Here's to mess your head more. 1) The Touch ID on SE is the older generation. It isn't as fast as the 6s Touch ID. 2) front facing camera is of lower quality on SE. Back camera is the same. Wonder that 3) battery on SE is much better than 6s (probably smaller screen) True that 3D Touch isn't a necessity but it's really fun to have it. I was on 5S previously and I thought 4.7" is just too big but having used the 6S for a day, I find that 4.7" is actually a very comfortable size. Much more comfortable than 4" actually. Typing on the 4.7" is less tedious and the screen size is just very soothing to look at, there's ample space for everything. QUOTE(CallMeBin @ Apr 6 2016, 06:07 AM) It will not be unwise to opt for the 6S now UNLESS you intend to switch immediately when the 7 is announced. if you're on the "S" line then the reasonable life cycle is to upgrade to the next "s" series in line (ie. 7S). |

QUOTE(teak87 @ Apr 5 2016, 09:09 PM) Hi there. My 6s+ just instlled with screen protector which i bought from digi center. Unfortunately, once installed there are area where the film not stick properly. I believe it is because the sides glass curvature are not even or flat rather than bevelled. Any comment on this guys?? I forgotten the brand but its like "monofilm" corning glass 0.04mm thickness 9H. The most expensive one about RM131 per pcs. Due to that i feel quite disappointed and don't know what to do besides sharing with you guys to get some support. 😢 |

Good for you. Now is March, still another 9 months at least to the release of new iPhone in Malaysia. Fair game to get it if you ask me. If it's like 3-4 months to go, then pretty bad timing to get the 6s models when 7 is going to be released.True that 3D Touch isn't a necessity but it's really fun to have it. You know what? That's what everyone feels typically upgrading from smaller screen. TLD Youtuber, he was adamant on 6+ model is just TOO big, but he took the dive for 6s+ and using it. The moral of the story, don't say too big until you really try it. I notice is jumping from 4" to 5.5" is daunting. Should go step by step. QUOTE(chockie @ Apr 6 2016, 10:49 AM) After updating the latest software, my Safari always hang. Anyone facing the same issue? How to solve it? It's an issue in 9.3. 9.3.1 actually fixes this. Can you check whether it's 9.3.1 or 9.3? |

QUOTE(teak87 @ Apr 6 2016, 11:03 AM) Uhm.... I guess you can't do much right? The side curves is a bane to most screen protectors, especially tempered glass type.I doubt you can get a refund, but you could try? Typically two choice a) plastic type, it just covers the area before the curve starts. combine it with a good coverage cover, it's good enough b) tempered glass, my personal preference is to have full coverage until the edges or go plastic type instead. Corning 3D IMOS is the best I tried, utterly expensive. Need to watch out the cover compatibility. Remax, Mono tempered glass alternatives etc, is okay for the price but slight knock, the glass will chip off. You go this route because it's cheap and have the glass feel when using the touchscreen. I think later on I need to go back to the center and ask about change or refund. Huhu Im afraid cannot because on that time the screen protector was installed the geek person already showed to me the problem that I was nothing to say and leave the premise. But after that, at home I saw it even worst. huhuI doubt you can get a refund, but you could try? They will most probably be made available to Malaysia early next year but you have not thought wrong. For Apple, even if there's a discount of RM50.00, it's considered as a very big thing At the end of the day, you may end up buying the color and the capacity that you first did not intend to. Just yesterday, I went over to Epicentre in IOI Mall and they only have 1 16GB Rose Gold left. |

QUOTE(dino89 @ Apr 6 2016, 02:31 PM) Could it be that the sides of your phone screen is more curved than the average iphone screen? Actually, you are right. Some iPhones' screens are more curved. Mine is one of them. I am now using a PET SP and it's not a cheap one, after unsuccessfully trying a few glass SP. But still prefer TG SP. You know of any which will be able to 'take the curve'?iPhone has different suppliers for the screen, thus some of the screen sides are more "curved" than normal, thus the problem of the sides of the sp no sticking properly You could upload a pic of the condition of your sp for us to see |

I used 3d touch a lot. quite useful for me. It will be little bit tricky to use it for the first time but once you get used to how much pressure you need to apply it will okay

Looks like I'm back into this club.
Jumped ship for a while to the Android land with the Nexus 6P and S7 edge, but somehow iOS has drawed me back. Just got myself a 6S Plus 'again', albeit in a different colour. |
