What do you bicycle connoisseurs reckon on the Tern B7?

I'm looking for something under under 1.5k with a dependable frame for commuting.

compare a litepro 16“ with my 20" wheelsport?

hahaha, dont know yet bro.my wheelsport already moded the hub when i bought. besides, those litepro wheelset also didnt mount yet on my next 16" project bike.

almost all my wheelset i modified the hub (change more higher rpm bearings).

u can pm billybikeshop @ taiping for the price.i bought from him..

p/s: those litepro rim is 305 and not like brompton 349

I'm intending to tour next year.

I'm thinking of having a front load instead of a back load.  Pros and cons?

Am using a Dahon Speed D8/P8.  Am in the midst of getting all the stuff that I'll need.  Intending to tour from March 2016.
*
Depends on how much stuff you want to carry. The front rack is lower to the ground so you can only have smaller panniers. Once loaded up, the front will have a heavier feel obviously. If you have a touring rack at the back, I'd rather use that. If not and the smaller pannier suits, it's ok too.

hello, question about general bike, non folding.

I wanna ask, if classic bike like this, usually only single gear. is it possible to make it to have gears? for climbing general housing area hilly places:

[attachmentid=5479721]

I always like the classic look but usually they only have single speed.
*
If the bike is only single speed, then you are unlikely to have a rear derailleur mount. Easiest would be to get a hub gear, maybe a three speed and they will give you a wider range. I have a modern single speed and I can get to most places, so you'll need to know where you ride and accept its limitations.

hahahah, i didnt change the hub. i change the internal seal bearings / bearings to the higher rpm type of bearings.

the cost are much cheaper than changing the whole hub, but twice the performance!

the question is, are you willing to travel up to ipoh to do it?

i think major old bikeshop know how to do it.basicly this method already been done by many rb cyclist/rb pomen long time ago. the different is nowdays, roadbike wheelset manufacturer (branded and good one) does sell their hub bearing spareparts for upgrade.. laugh.gif

I would definitely buy a used higher end model rather than a new entry model. You get better/nicer parts. It is only a bicycle, so don't worry if it is a few years old. Make sure the frame is not damage, hinges ok, and everything else is adjustable.

You buy a entry model, then upgrade, you will definitely over-spend and definitely lose money. sweat.gif

Looking at the specs, this bike is likely to be low geared. The 7 speed may be more difficult to upgrade if it is a freewheel and not cassette. Best to go for a test ride and see if it can handle the speed you are likely to travel at.
