No, Redmi Note Series are mid range.

Mi Note Series are flagships.

Just for the sake of making it a better buy than Meizu Metal.

at least got finger scanner plus metal body which way nicer than redmi note 2

of course it would be nicer than RN2, otherwise no point selling it.

Just the name of the device doesn't seem to fit in.. Should be RN2 Pro or Plus instead.

IMO, the most welcomed feature in here is the battery. 4000mAh.

I saw users complaining weak battery life on RN2.

It seems Helio X10 is not power efficient?
Even Meizu MX5 has average battery life.
Nowhere near to MX4.

Don't forget that MX5 battery life is still way batter than Redmi Note 2.

hopefully got microSD expansion - not some hybird sim slot like Meizu !!! If yes can consider replace my mi4i

Yeah, Xiaomi didn't optimize it properly it seems.
The video playback and web browsing endurance test is way below MX5.
Sad to see, was expecting more from that ample battery capacity.

Of course la. They just released Redmi Note 2 in here not long ago. Do you think they will bring in Redmi Note 3 before end of this year? Impossible. Buying AP set is your only option if you want to get it fast.

Don't mind abput AP set though.. this gonna be my first xiomi device.. worse case i just get RN2

With ap device there are possibility of incompatible networks, software issues and also troublesome to claim warranties just like what happened with rmn2 ap sets.. Just be patient lor.... Go buy other cheapo android to use in the meantime

The problem with AP set is that you need to reflash the international rom with GAAPS

Copycat? It's got nothing to do with the Galaxy Note. The G.Note line is an expensive line of devices that feature styluses that work well. The Redmi Notes are large budget devices with great specs. There's no reason to compare the two, and definitely no reason to say one copied the other.

seems to be an upgrade in terms of dual sim, bigger battery, bigger screen, fingerprint sensor, extra 1gb RAM, extra 16gb internal.

but still have doubt over the Mediatek Helios x10 processor.

Helio X10 performs closely with Snapdragon 801 but the GPU is still a few fps slower than Adreno 330 but not by huge margin. I tested Helio X10 myself and it was great and fluid experience.. I can't tell speed difference between both. Battery consumption and GPS is good too.

If you really skeptical with Mediatek, just better off with Mi4C.

Xiaomi is doin a good job. If u wan gaming then Mi4C, if u wan bigger screen then Note 3.

I think I'll add mi4c in my list of consideration.

MTK helio x10 is a good processor just that the GPU is lacking

I game quite a lot, will check out more youtube review on Redmi Note 3's gaming capability 1st.
